I'd say it depends on what you like... do you like Biology 3/4 more or Physics 1/2 currently? do the subject which you enjoy and are good at.

If you plan to do Biomedicine or Science in uni... I'd say go with the Melbourne Uni Extension program for Biology, cause I think that's more relevant than Physics in relation to doing Biomed or Science.

That's just me though...

Hope this helps. :)

Why not just do both? It will mean only 5 subjects in year 12 which you would be able to handle. Yes it will mean a 7th subject but if you stuff up one you'll have another to back you up.

Also if you enjoy physics and bio equally, then you should definitely do both. However if you dislike one of them, then you shouldn't continue doing that subject

Yeah, I reckon UMEP Biology is more relevant to your uni course than physics. But I'm sure doing 5 subjects in year 12 is fine; if you enjoy both Biology and Physics, why not both? :P

And why did you not do at least a semester of English Language 1/2? You're putting yourself at a disadvantage there if you go straight into English Language - but it's still do-able I guess. I'd do english if I were you, but it's up to you.

do you reckon i should do normal english?
except for every subject last semester i got A's and A+
except for english which i got a high B
and generally i think i would do better at english language because its got the biology/ psycholohy background which would appeal to me as oppose to the english course :S

I wouldn't recommend jumping straight into 3/4 english language, unless you can self-teach yourself all of 1/2 during the summer holidays. You would probably do better in normal english (yes, it is boring as hell though). Doing 5 subjects + UMEP would give you a pretty good safety net in terms of having a high enter, just incase you stuff up a subject a lil bit. If you feel like the workload is too much, you can always drop physics a few months into the year. You might regret choosing to drop it altogether if you stuff up another subject as you've got nothing to fall back on. I'm not 100% on this, but knowing a bit of physics can help you in the GAMSAT if you choose to go for postgrad medicine.

- English language or english
- Chemistry
- Specialist
- Physics
- UMEP Biology

I'm quite sure that's only 4 subjects + UMEP which is what I'm planning to do in year 12 (I have decided against 5 subjects + UMEP, unless I actually do badly next year).

I reckon you should keep at English - if you really want to do EL, I suggest teaching yourself English Language over the break or something (especially Unit 1, which is apparently quite relevant).
