Keep in mind that when you transfer to Commerce you'd still have to meet the methods prerequisites, so you would have to do a Mathematics unit that is equivalent to Methods while doing the Arts degree if you want to be eligible to transfer.
Apart from that I don't see why not.

Yes, there will be a button in your Student Portal next year if you do arts, that says "Apply for another university of Melbourne course" or similar
and do the required bridging subject for maths in your first sem

so guys, to dot he relevant maths subjects, how long would it take?
and then when i do transfer, would it most liekly be that i wont get any credit
-
You would do the subject in your first semester
You can apply for elective credits, depends how many core subjects you have to do in first year though.

This would be the subject you would have to do in first sem
though i have no idea if you didn't do methods 1/2

yes i did do methods in year 11 , Got a ' S ' for both semesters but grades werent impressive at all .....
at the bottom it says... - This subject is not available for science credit or commerce credit in any course.- if you could just explain that

It just means that if you are doing B.Sci or B.Com, then you won't be able to get credit for the subject, so there's no point in doing the subject. Also, because Methods is a pre-req to both those courses, you won't be able to even do the subject.
