Title: Dropping a prerequisite subject.
Post by: jcc on April 11, 2008, 10:34:31 pm
Hi,

I'm currently doing an enhancement history course, but I'd like to drop the VCE subject (Revolutions) which is a prerequisite for it. Does anyone know what would happen if I were to do this? Would VTAC not count the enhancement increment due to me dropping the subject, or do the prerequisite subjects have no tangible effect other than to help decide who gets a place into the program and thus not matter once a person is already enrolled? Thanks.

http://www.services.unimelb.edu.au/umep/Extension_Program_08.pdf
On page 5: What if I withdraw or fail?
"A student who withdraws from or fails to
satisfactorily complete the prerequisite
or preparatory VCE subject/s will not be
eligible for an increment in their ENTER
calculation regardless of their performance
in their Extension Program studies."

If you're doing Australian History with Monash then I'm not sure, but the same rule probably applies.
