Urgent q. :
Find the Volume and SA of
a hexagonal prism 31cm high, with hexagon sides being 12cm.
:)
-
TSA = 6(area of rectangles) + 2(area of hexagon)
Hexagon is made up of 6 equilateral triangles of side lengths 12 cm and, using Py6thagoras, height 6root (3) cm.
Therefore TSA = a2 X 31 X 6 + 2 X 6 X 1/2 X 12 X 6root (3)
= 2232 + 432root(3) cm2
Volume = area of base X length
= 216 X root (3) X 31
=6696 root(3) cm3
