Title: A+ cutoffs

Does anyone know where abouts the A+ cutoff would be for a LOTE exam like Greek? thanks :)

I depends on the number of people sitting the exam, and how well they perform. An A+ equates to a study score of 40+, so you looking at the top 10% of the state - not a particular exam mark.
It gets more difficult of course with smaller cohorts (like Hebrew or classical Greek) where only 100-200 kids take the subject for VCE. You have to be in the top 7-8 to expect a high scoring rank.

These statistics change a little from year to year. Scroll to the third page to view the cut-off for the exam (the first two are the Unit 3 and Unit 4 SACs respectively and should be ignored given the scaling.)

thats exactly what i wanted to see. But im a little confused as to why the exam and oral part is out of 400.. When the exam is out of 75 marks

for reasons nobody knows, the written exam is multiplied by 4 so it's 75 x 4 = 300, the oral being out of 100 so 300 + 100 = 400.

It isn't multiplied - rather four examiners cross-mark it and add their marks together for a fairer score.

Also, if there's a major discrepancy between the two markers, a third marker is brought in. It's pretty good :)

hey guys sorry if i'm a bit of a hassle,
but if my scores so far have been:
43/50 Unit 3
49/50 Unit 4
and lets say A+ for the oral

what would i kneed for the written exam to obtain a raw score of at least 35?
