Yeh the P rooms. And we got Wood and Ludo's car. Was great. Glad wrap+string+whipped cream mazes along all the concourses was great fun as well. The year 9s had to crawl through them while we stood on the other side laughing.

Youd have to be a really sad person to stay home.

im going into the city after muck up day and im supposed to be taking a lovely young women out next weekend. Plus ill get into the gym and do some exercise outside the gym too. I really look forward to this week. As for the week after ill feel really bad if I dont do a freakish amount of study.

This weeks study to funtime ratio will be 1:1 but the week after it will be like 10:1. Promise.

That's ridiculous =/ Our coordinator was ushering us onto the hill with waterbombs and shouting 'hit one year nine and then move on'. They were also laughing when a year 10 was gladwrapped to a tree and underwent super soaker+water bomb torture. I don't see the point of banning all this stuff. It's going to happen anyway really, except that it's better to have it happen within the school than outside. Who's ever heard of MHS getting in trouble like Xavier does despite the extent of the crap that we do?

It's all fun and games until someone gets hurt. A girl had to get eye surgery because she got hit in the eye with an egg. Car paint gets damaged when in contact with eggs and shaving cream for more than a few hours. There's a fine line between having fun and being twats.

You're not 'sacrificing' anything by staying home.
You are cheating all your peers and abusing the system, while dishonouring your school and illegally wagging class.
This thread disgusts me.

The people who ARE doing this are the decomposite mix of selfish dirty bag scum, and people who don't want to know and experience the most joyful and important experiences offered to them (graduation celebrations).

Shame on you.

Cheating? Abusing? Dishonouring? How so? Think before you post such baseless accusations.

"decomposite mix of selfish dirty bag scum, and people who don't want to know and experience the most joyful and important experiences offered to them"
Who died and made you judge? People can do whatever they want. In fact, blindly conforming to the so-called 'celebrations' to the detriment of academic achievement is not in any way 'joyful and important'.

I remember as a year 10 in 2008 some macrob girls were at south yarra station in melbourne high uniforms thinking they were freaking hilarious.

I think mhs class of 08 (shinnys?) hung up "Want Longer Lasting Sex?" infront of MacRob, and had MHS's number on it. they also put manure over the school and oil on the stairwells which made one of the history teachers slip and crack his head, and the receptionist fracture her ankle....

but they ruined it for us, now all of our things have to be passed by the assistant principals and coordinators. pretty much died last year when they put cups full of water on the staff stairs. i think one of the teachers just kicked them down and got the kids to clean it up LOL

that said, parra on the yarra

EDIT: and yeah its the guy above me who had to clean up all the shit :D:D:D ^^

Not that I can act as a spokesman for the school or anything, but the suspension pretty much happened for three reasons:

a. The incident last year at MGS, where a kid got expelled for destroying an MHS kid's ear drum with a thrown egg.
b. The principal (rightfully, in my opinion) wants to maintain a standard of excellence behaviour-wise, and it's pretty much the school's firm belief that you can have fun without having to hurt people
c. Apparently it wasn't "just" throwing water bombs - I heard from a Lauriston person that it was actually fairly chaotic/frightening, with a lot of parents and even the Lauriston principal having a massive fit over the incident.

We cant throw eggs because people are allergic to them....

But otherwise we're going to a park and anything goes..... but if its too bad we have to do our exams at another school

I really think everyone should participate as I see it as the last instance of childhood/extremelly childish behaviour before adulthood

We're not allowed muck up day, it's a bit sad because I don't think my cohort wouldve done anything dangerous, a few of us wanted to get like bio-hazard costumes and scare the year 7s..
That said, we get free breakfast and an excursion to the beach..

A couple of years ago, I suspect it was Glen Waverley that came over and egged our school. It was massive frenzy, weird thing was they walked past me and didn't egg me but egged all my white friends.
I put it down to being asian :).

And, as long as u don't do what mt waverley did to avila, I think it's okay to have a relatively sensible muck up day.

For muck up day my friends got a for sale sign from her friend whos a real estate agent. She's printing a huge picture of the school, sticking it at the front of the school and putting a price on it, seeing how many people call up the school.

Who has security guards at their school on muck up day? We always do. Gah

We also get to do nothing at all... our principal is so straight laced and up tight, we're not even really allowed to refer to it as "muck up day".

We go there earlier than school time (~840), eat breakfast and hang around till like 11 in costumes, no water balloons, no nothing... just walk around in costume, you guys should consider yourself lucky  :o

(our principal has had kids prosecuted for starting fights in the school before and damaging the school [they did do a shit load of damage though])

Yeah whats with schools getting this breakfast?

Sadly, our school is getting more tight as well, even referring to it as 'Dress Up Day'. Principal even pre-lectured us about not doing shit. Especially no eggs because people are allergic.

It would be funny if those people who stayed home and studied didn't beat the people who went out and particpiated in those yaer 12 activities.
I know someone who skipped SACS to study for UMAT, and didn't get in.
Okay, so it's not funny, but sometimes seeing certain students who do that (not saying everyone who chooses to stay at home is like this), get their arrogance thrown back in their faces is extremely satisfying.

Lol???.

its not arrogance.
im not going to muck up day because Im not friends with the "dumb" year 12 kids at my school.. which is about 80% of them.... im in year 11 and all my classes ( chem/bio/methods etc) are with the smart people who dont give a shit about muckup day and so arnt going...

therefore . i dont see a point in myself going ... there is no 1 there im really close friends with? and its 8 hours worth of study time that i could be using.

muck up day is the celebration of FINISHING SCHOOL.
exams are still coming buddy ... thats not finishing

and trust me ... ill party pretty hard when exams are over.
but untill then . i couldnt care less about a silly muck up day and form nights.

But i will defs be going to graduation/valedictory dinner.

... moral of the story
just because some kids skip events to study .. dosnt always mean they are "arrogant"

Shame on you.

this is what im talking bout.
stick a tampon in it and get the fk over it.
you just called selfish? , dirty ? scum bag .. because I would rather stay home , over going to muck up day with kids i dont even know and teachers i never talk to?...

watch what you say kiddo.

p.s people .. sorry . im just in a PISSED mood right now
dont take any of my anger as personal

My muckup day was alright, nothing super crazy.

I still dont see how you guys can justify missing out on muckup day, a day where you basically say goodbye to a heap of people, the people youve spent the last 6 years with. Dont you have friends/time for your friends?
Dont tell me youre maximising time you can study when youre sitting on here posting in threads like these. Cmon.
The people who do go think that those who dont go are hermits and losers. Why would you want to be remembered like that?
