I know someone who did Arabic. He got 43
hes re-doing it this year. wants 45+ so bad.
-
It gets scaled down true?
That sucks bad.

I did Arabic 1/2 in year 10 and we were attempting 3/4 exams since our class was combined with year 12s. I dropped it because according to my teacher the highest I could have achieved is a 44 which goes down, so the maths and science subject were more appealing to me. :P

My brother did arabic and because my cousin is a famous singer, the examiners asked him to sing during his oral. That wasted time :P

1. It scales down
2. It's very competitive
3. Nobody, unless you've studied the koran or something, is familar with formal arabic
4. nobody ever does that great in it... ever heard of a 50 in Arabic?? (I think its like the only subject that nobody gets premier's for)
5. Those who do do it are fresh out of the boat - and they don't even do that well because english plays a role in answering questions in the listening and comprehension parts of the exam
6. Competing against people who were born and bred in an arab country makes it harder for those who were born here - if we had enough people it could be divided into two - Arabic First Language, Arabic Second Langauge like Chinese, Japeneses etc.
7. Its hard as hell- seriously arabic grammar??
