So okay. I've had 3 SACS. For the first 2 I got a C+. I still await my results for the 3rd SAC. But anyways. I currently hold top SAC rank in my class and I think I have a higher SAC mark than the other classes. I've still got one more SAC in unit 3. I know Unit 3 SACS are worth 20% and maybe for some people that might seem little but I still reckon 20% is a lot. I'm getting very concerned. What chances do I have at 35+? What kind of SAC marks and exam marks should i get to get that study score. Is the dream still alive?
-
If you're ranked number one than the dream is still very much alive :)
-
C+ ranking first~! wow, must be really hard SACs
if you keep that ranking, i'll put money on that 35 =)
-
3 SACS :| For three seperate modules or are they just mini SACS combined??
-
wow 3 sacs is alot i've only had one big 10 period sac.
-
Do you get a seperate SAC rank for unit 3 and unit 4 or is it one SAC rank for the entire year?
-
It's one ranking for the entire year. In Further SACs are not classified under the banners of "Unit 3" and "Unit 4". Your SAC marks are converted to a score out of 100 for the entire year.
-
sounds like your SACs are incredibly hard...but yes, your on track!
-
If your ranked number one chances are you will get over 35.
At my school we have about 190 students. 15 got A+. I got an A and I am ranked 6th in my class out of about 20.
Will I have to do alot more to get over 35?
-
Anyones got a chance of getting over 35- aim to be in the top 10 students in your class(A+~A) and make sure you do well on the exam. As it has said numerous times before, SAC's do matter, but the exam matters even more. Do your best in sac's, but D-Day(s) is the exam.
-
Does that mean my hopes of getting a 40 in further maths are dead, if i did bad on my first module SAC?
I just missed out on 90% :'(
Does anyone know how much Module SACs contribute to the study score?

SACS ARE MEANINGLESS LOL!!!
KILL EXAMS= GOOD STUDY SCORE
SACS ARE ONLY WORTH SOMETHING LIKE 33% SO WHEN U BREAK DOWN INDIVIDUAL SACS THEY ARE ONLY WORTH A FEW PERCENT EACH... AND THEN THESE ARE MODERATED BY THE EXAM MARKS!!!

SAC ranking has a meaning.

I want this Viki thing to come out- put a rest to all these sac related questions...
-
im not sure of my rank in the class, but it could possibly be 1, however i think i might be like 10th or something in the school with like a 90% average
if i get an A for my exam, what do u think im looking at, in terms of a raw score
-
ey guys
im lookin for a score between 45-50 study score for further maths
i got a 39/40 for the first sac
then got a 14/20 :( really screwed the business maths
jus done mi third one on trig and geo, proably got an 90+%
one more SAC to go lookin a 100% in it
and assumin i get 100% correct in both exams at end of yr..
is it still possible for a 45-50 study score?
thanks.
-
If you can get 100% correct in both exams...
You will most likely get a study score of 50 :D
Sac marks really don't mean that much...it's the ranking which matters.
But if you ACE the exams, u'll be fine!!
Don't dwell on ur mistakes, just move on... and do ur best~!! :)

wat about dropping 1-2 marks on exams? still possible 45+?
-
Definitely~!!
A friend who did further with me last year got 48 :)
When we came out of our exams, we compared answers and stuff...
and he found that he had stuffed up at quite a few questions.
I can't remember exactly how many marks he lost, and he didn't get a SOM...
But in total (both exams), i reckon he would have lost at least 4 marks...maybe even more :P
