Do you think examiners find more enjoyment in reading neatly hand written essays than messy handwriting essays?
And is anyone ever going to write an essay ever again after the exams?

first question: how would you feel if you had to sit there having to decipher what every third word read while knowing that u've a crap load of other essays to get through?
second question: think of those that also take lit :P

Hmm, just because you do Lit doesn't mean you'll write essays of your own accord; essays are more for sharing your understanding, merely a means of checking that its actually in your head and also as a test of how well you can articulate yourself. Both relate directly to assessment; hence, I think that these kind of textual essays are only found in school. However, there will be those odd few who will for some unknown reason write essays for themselves - though I've no idea why; see, the ideas are already in their heads, I don't understand how writing it will help them...
However, essays such as lab reports and other vocationally-related documents are of course common and indeed an integral part of their respective professions and will thus be a frequent task.
And no, examiners will not mark you down (at least consciously) for bad handwriting, as long as it is legible.

He means you still have the lit exam after the English one xD

Markers will not mark you down if you have bad handwriting intentionally, but it can detract from overall flow and make them more liable to think your writing is to blame.
I certainly do, partially because I'm one of those weird people M@tty was talking about who writes essays for their own enjoyment, and partially because if you're a Literature student/academic at Uni you also have to write essays (just like, 4000+ words instead of 1000+ >.>).

1. My teachers have always told us to write as neat as possible for the exams. However, considering more than one person marks your essay, I doubt they would mark you down for it.
2. NEVER WRITING AN ESSAY AGAIN.. atleast not a text response.

Wait, is the English exam this Thursday? Isn't the english exam always on a Friday? lol

Yea it's on this Thursday. Which is good for me cause I have Fri-Sun to study for other exams :D
I want the English exam to be over already...

They like essays in other languages better. Try German, bonus marks.

Probably not, but after doing 25 practice essays, essays aren't that bad anymore =/. I used to be so horrified of them, I procrastinated for 2 days before I finally did my first expository essay for the year. But it's like...just a casual thing now, even more casual than Spesh practice exam 1's.

I don't know if anyone else finds this, but due to the school I first went to and parents influenced, I write in literally old school cursive.
While some people consider it to be neat and clean, others have no hope of reading it what so ever.
But I'm at a predicament, because with two days to go I can't change my hand writting.
What a shame cursive isn't such a heavy focus anymore.
any advice for this type of writting? other than get lucky with an old examiner?

I write cursive.
You can't figure out each individual letter but u can figure out the word in general.
Screw writing neat, you don't have time to particularly care.
