Since the answers here are pretty much set in stone what did everyone end up with also mention the modules I guess
39/40 - 1,2 and 6
-
39/40 - 3, 5, 6
-
39/40 - 1, 2, 4
-
omg. wowowow question 6 for core. how do i choose A. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
39/40 2,3,4
-
38/40 :(
did anyone get tricked by the FREKIN regression line.

A lot of the cocky year 11's at my school did :P
-
40/40 1,2,6 ;)
-
36/40 :(
-
38/40 depending on core q3
-
Anyone know what kind of SS a 39/40 and 53/60 would get me?
-
38/40 depending on core q3
what did you get? Almost certain its 2
Anyone know what kind of SS a 39/40 and 53/60 would get me?
around 43-44~
-
Yea, whats the estimated required score for 50 this year? Was this exam considered hard?
-
got 3 :/ was like wth... i just like analysed the graph for like 5mins and got my answer...
not too sure
-
I thought it was easy with a few tricks, but we cant really estimate for sure until we do exam 2
-
since i got 38/40 and if i get like 55/60 being ranked some where on the top 10 can i get 40 +?????
:( :(
-
tru. but will exam 2 be easier?
-

Probs 44+ :)

I'm guessing not for matrices and networks as they were really easy last year
-
What SS would I be looking at with 36/40 and 53/60 with A/A+ sacs. Don't know whether it'll be worth studying for if I can't get 40+..
-
Thats 10 marks so I reckon a 40+ is still achievable

Aim for 60 in exam 2! you can do it! :)

I'll be aiming for it for sure. I'm just being a little more realistic :P
-
EFFFFF got tricked by the regression line stupid me, I've done qs like that before and not stuffed up
37/40...aiming for a SS of 35 so pretty happy :) guessed a matrices q and got it right >:)
-
39/40 ..... .. :$
tricked by y-intercept for Q6 in Core...stupid meeee :'(
-
40/40 :D
-
kryptik, r u bein serious. wat did u get for q3 core.
-
Since i got 17/40, probably, is it still possible to get 25/50???? I fail at maths!! haha
-
i got 39/40
ahh well done kriptik, haven't heard of anyone else who got full marks yet :)
-
i got 39/40
ahh well done kriptik, haven't heard of anyone else who got full marks yet :)
Someone did on the first page.
I'm back to 37/40 if you say q3 core is b. Would a 53/60 on exam 2 get me a 41?
-
Is it still possible to get around a 40 in this subject?
I think I got around 33-35 out of 40 today and was ranked about 10th to 15th out of 70 odd students for SACS.
Probably a low chance I know :(
-
39/40... dammit.

oh silly me, welldone to them as well.
yes you could get low 40s with those scores.
-
fml got around 31/40
90% sac average
if i get 55/60 can i still get 40+?
-
39/40 on modules 3,4 6.... and the only question i got wrong was question 1 in core :S
-
no way. that must hurt to make a silly mistake.
-
at least the rest was all good :P
-
Yeah I got 100% on my modules, only lost core marks. Complete opposite to all my practices, I'm usually a lot better at core :p
-
36/40 :(
the mistakes i made will haunt me for a while..
CORE 1, 3, graphs 6, networks 4.
hoping for a 45 stilll?
exam 2 what should i be getting?
-

i winged it. No idea how I went. Dreading having to sit through the next one and having to write shit. I cant just circle random boxes.
-
36 or 38 / 40
i'm not too sure about the answers for networks q 6 & 7.
i got b and C respectively, is that wrong or correct?
-
C and B apparently :/
Refer to this diagram for 7B
As for Q6 the 8 counts as 0, everything else still stands

Higher unfortunately. 59+/60 to be relatively sure...
-
40/40, according to all suggested solutions and general logic.
yay.

-
How many people in the state normally gets over 45?
-
2.5 i think.
2.5 people is about right :P
-
i meant percent haha
-
38/40 Modules 2 3 and 4 it was the gay cube (Qs 4) and in graphs and relations (Qs 2) i don believe i picked the wrong answer ==
-
Same with me and Networks Q4.. sigh thought I was too good and read only 1/2 of the question (3 times mind you) and sitll got it wrong FUCK!
-
btw guys how much out of 60 in the next one would guarantee me a 45+ SS
-
57/60 would be a 45 at the minimum
-
38/40 2,4,6
-
got fking 36/40 with all mistakes from core >:(
-
LOL _avo i hear you business and networks must be the hardest modules out there buh i business was good to me! IT WAS THE CUBE ARGHHH abhsfsid *rage
-
38/40 - both errors were from Core (Q3's ambiguity grrr, and simple error in calculator for Q11 Reciprocal transformation regression line...)
Do you think for Q3 they will just be harsh and only accept B? If they do, then my mark is 38.
If there is some massive overhaul in the subject and they accept C for it's alternate calculation (range/4) then I may get 39. But either way I'm happy.
With Exam 1 38/40 done, how much do I need in the next exam for a MINIMUM of 45? thanks!
-
57~
-
Is 50 still possible if I get 60/60 on the next exam? I'm pretty sure I lost only one mark (i.e. 39/40) on exam 1. Stupid core questions. *cries*
-
yes i'd say so!
i wanted a SS of 35, but got 37 or 38 out of 40 on exam 1 (depending on how they mark effing question 3 of core)
but i feel it was partially just luck
should i raise my SS expectations? approx what would i have to get on exam 2 to get me 40?
-
what do you reckon study score
top of cohort 99% sac avg.
39/40 exam 1
hopefully 58-60/60 exam 2
-
47-50 :)
-
47-50 :)
:) :D :)
I'm in the same boat. :D
-
I'd be happy with 41+, that's all I need (I think)
-
35/40. Seriously, FML.
-
35/40 is still (approx) a high A. not FML worthy :) (well unless you wanted 50 or something)
-
Same with me and Networks Q4.. sigh thought I was too good and read only 1/2 of the question (3 times mind you) and sitll got it wrong FUCK!
+1
when my friend showed me at maccas after the exam
i like screamed out in pain!
everyone looked at me like wtf...? :P
-
can't remember what i wrote for 5 questions, so excluding them i got 31, hopefully if i got them all correct then 36.
what is a 32-33-34? Low A?
-
35/40 modules 3,5,6
perfect for core
got owned in matrices, 3 wrong
but what do i need to get on exam 2 to get 40+?
im guessing 55ish? or lower/higher?
-
36/40...damn core...feel so bad...

28/40

Hehe, I didn't want a 50 - I'd die of happiness if I got a 40 actually. Just really hoping I don't screw Exam 2. The terrible thing is that all my mistakes resulted from not reading the question properly. Underestimated Matrices and sped through it by 12:10, didn't have time to come back and check. Dropped 3 marks there and 2 in Graphs.

if you read the questions as carefully as possible on exam 2, i reckon you could get 40 if your SAC marks are fairly strong :)
and i find i'm always a lot more susceptible to stupid mistakes on exam 1 than exam 2. so if that's your main issue, you could perform better on exam 2 :)

Thanks for the reassurance. My SAC average is 80%. So I'm not too confident, lol. Maths has always been my worst subject :\

i'm in the same boat as you :-) 37/40 for MC (pleasantly surprised), SACs about 80%.. i was aiming for 35 but if i do well on exam 2 i think 40 is possible which would be amazing - as also maths has always been my worst. however, it has to be in my top 4 coz i didn't do a year 12 last year and i've already decided music solo will be my bottom with a SS of approximately 6.
-
wat study score would i get.
top of my cohort
exam 1 37/40
and lets say exam 2 i get 60 (hopefully)
please tell me i reaally need sum confidence right now.
-
47-48 ^
-
o sweet. thanx. lets say by any chance i drop one mark in exam 2 then wat am i lookin at.
-
I got 36/40..
Is it impossible for a 45+?
-
35/40 is still (approx) a high A. not FML worthy :) (well unless you wanted 50 or something)
What's your instrument gossip girl? Have you had your recital yet?
Ah, that sucks about not doing a subject last year! Having done psych gives me a little reassurance.
However, I've just found that the standard deviation was 2, not 3, for question 3 of core, so I actually got 34/40. :P Well done on your 37, that's great :) Good luck.

Have you had your recital yet gossipgirl? Which instrument do you play? If you haven't yet performed I wish you the best of luck :) And yes, maths has always been very difficult for me. Doing psych last year is sort of my lifeline though, you must feel under a lot of pressure with these exams!! Good luck for the rest of yours :)

BTW 347 online users, we totally blitzed previous years!
-
farkkk, i screwed up so bad. I think i lost 4-5 marks :(
I got the bloody first question wrong, i wanna cry.

what is a 32-33-34? Low A?
Yea 33 is about a low A
so for sacs this year i got:
B+, A+, B+ C (whole year level f'd it up), A, A
what do i need for the second exam to get 38/39?
cheers mate.
-
38/40
Modules 2,3,6
I made the stupid mistake on trig/geo, didn't even see the right angled triangle... and it's so obvious now.
and linear, for some odd reason i thought -1 was less than -4.... fml

Depends on your rank and overall cohort performance, but generally to get a 38/39 you would need about 51/60+ (assuming you get 36/40)
-
39/40
got the right answer but then shaded the wrong box... fml

yeah i have - violin. 6 was an exaggeration but i have my fingers crossed for 30.
thank you, you too! yeah it's one of my biggest regrets of VCE not doing a 3/4 a year early, so if any youngins are stalking this - do at least one!!
but oh well! doesn't really matter as i don't need to get in the 90s, around ~80-85 and at the moment i'm on track to get that :)
-
what would i need on exam two to get 45 if:
37/40 for exam one
90/100 for sacs in a very strong cohort
thanks
-
farkkk, i screwed up so bad. I think i lost 4-5 marks :(
I got the bloody first question wrong, i wanna cry.
i do too
cry together?
-
40/40 2,4,6 :)
-
i got between 25 and 30 on the exam :( but about 90 % for my sacs? depending on how i go in exam 2 what sort of a score am i looking at?
-
39/40
got the right answer but then shaded the wrong box... fml
i did the same thing couldnt believe it

^Snap what school?
-
36/40 2,3 and 6. I hope to God Core- 3 was B LOL
-
It is 100% B, :)
-
I got 37/40 :( im absolutely shattered...any chance of getting 44+???
-
I got 37/40 :( im absolutely shattered...any chance of getting 44+???
57/60+ most likely
