Title: Study Scores
Post by: Stormer on November 04, 2010, 03:57:06 pm
How many marks off max for a 50 this year do you guys think? I'm thinking maybe 3-5, not many would have lost less than that. 45 could afford to lose 10 marks I daresay.

Overall Mid year's + Year End's, prob can lose around 2~3 for a 50.

Maybe. Last years was 5.5 for a 49 (from ilovemathsmethods) and both exams were easier than this years.

what do you think A+ sacs A for mid year and A+ end of year would add up to?

very hard to get 50 for accounting, if you check how many people got 50 last year compared to how many people did it you will know what im saying

Anywhere from 35-41 I'm guessing, depending on how high that A was.

What would a low-mid A+ midyear
High A+ end of year
and High A+ sacs, being number one rank in a very strong cohort give me?

Yeah fair point. I'd be happy with anything over 47

A+ SACs
B+ exam 1 (assuming mid)
A exam 2

ILoveMathsMeth lost 7 marks over both exams. I remember her posting saying she got 85.5/90 on the first and 87.5/90 on the second and got 49. So my guess would be loss of 4 marks of less for 50 (over both exams)

What would losing about 22 marks over both exams be. Is 40 possible?

Maybe, if not a 39 (scales to 39.8, maybe 40 this year :))

surly a mid year A A+ sacs and an A+ final exam would give me a 40 right?

Two people who got premiers awards last year didn't have their names published in the paper though, so there are more 50s than it seems.

Hey guys, could i get a prediction?
A+ Sac marks (96%)
A+ mid year (87.5/90)
Assuming low A+ end of year (80 odd/90)
Cracked under the pressure, although it was an easy exam :(
Also my cohort is very strong (6/10 A+'s on mid year)
Thanks

What would a low-mid A+ midyear (around 82-83)
High A+ end of year (87-88ish)
and High A+ sacs (97%), being number one rank in a very strong cohort give me?

After Thursday's exam, If I get:

- GA 1: A (mid)
- GA 2: A+ (mid/low) - very strong cohort.
- GA 3: A+ (mid/low)

*Fingers crossed for GA 3!*

What score would I be looking at?

Thanks guys! =) - LOL assuming _avO, you predict my score - THANKS in advance!

I will say 40-41, depending on the SAC moderation and how high your end of year A+ is, but overall you've got this, surely those great marks can yield a 40 :) Good luck!

Cheers, I would have taken 40~41 at the start of the year - building onto next year.

I'd say Good Luck to you, but you don't need luck. =P

i got an A on mid year (hopefully high) A+ on sacs (lowest score was 91% and was ranked 2nd in the class and also other people in the class got A+ on the mid year so its not that the sacs were easy) and i reckon ill get about 85+/90 on the end of year. What study score does anyone think i can get. Any suggestions will help. Thanks ;)

if i got 83.5 on the mid year
and my sac grade is a high a+ (96%)
and if i get 85 on the end of year (now that we know what the exam was like) what do you think my study score possibly could be?

around 44/45. Also SAC grades don't matter, it's the ranking of where you are in relation to your cohort.

roughly what score?

Around a 32
Title: Re: Study Scores
Post by: minimum on November 08, 2010, 03:32:22 pm

96% in SAC's (2nd highest in class, less by 2%)
A in mid-years ( let's say a high A)
and Hoping for a High A - Mid A+ for exam 2 (depending on the last question which VCAA stuffed up)

should i be hoping for atleast an 40 for my study scoree??

If your Sac marks get bumped up, and you do manage an A+ in Exam 2, then you can probably achieve a low 40

What would i be able to get with a....
low A+ sacs
low-mid A+ mid year (82.5/90)
and a similar result to the mid years for the end of year exam?
