What is VCAAs definition for lip?
And, what vcaa exam would you say is the toughest from 06 - 09 (just curious)?
-
I found 07 pretty hard, going to do 08 and 09 very soon now.
-
I found 09 the hardest, then 08. 06 and 07 were pretty easy, I did those ones first and got high 80s

LIP is the balance between lactate entry and removal from the bllod.

Thanks, but is there a specic point? like OBLA is like at 4mm?

Don't think there is specific point, generally if you are given a graph it is where blood lactate accumulation increases the most. But other than that the general rule is above 85% max heart rate

Ahh k thanks.

I found the 2007 paper as my worst result only getting 94 or 95 for that whereas all the others I have done in this study design I have got over 100.
You just have to be careful with the extended response question which last year was the surfing energy systems interplay. Acknowledge how many marks is awarded for it and in reading time target where you think marks will be awarded in the question and how you can refer it back to the data.

I got 83% for 2007 exam.

I thought you meant 94/95% and I was like fuuu :P I did the 2009 one a while ago before study :/ Probably shouldn't have. I did pretty crap

For some reason I found the 2009 exam quite long...finished with 5 minutes to spare compared to other exams which I finished with around 20 minutes to spare.
Anyway, LIP reflects the highest balance point between lactate entry into the blood and lactate removal from the blood, without blood lactate accumulating. If it is exceeded, blood lactate levels will rise exponentially and induce fatigue as a result of metabolic by-product accumulation. Remember that the LIP is relevant for endurance events, NOT events where the lactic acid system is predominant!
Hope that helped :)

I wish haha, if i can get anywhere near that tomorrow I'll be stoked

i got 79% on 07 which is ok considering i havent done a review of the course or anything. really winging all my exams this year, just no time or motivation. gonna do 06 later cause i havent printed 09. will probs do 09 on the comp and just compare with the assessors report. lazy way.
oh yeah and i suck arse on MC questions. If I didnt drop any MC I would have gotten 85% on the 07, not 79. -_-
