what is the conversion thing for eV to joules?
-
eV x (1.6x10^-19) = J
J / (1.6x10^-19) = eV

lol Ghadz7, why [2011]: Bachelor of Corruption & Dictatorship?

Better than just knowing the number. 1 eV multiplied by the charge on an electron is equivalent to 1 Joule.

I wanna be like Stalin when I grow up. :P Role Model!
jks, I think I should change it.

And to put the math into words, you simply have to know that 1ev is the amount of kinetic energy gained by a single unbound electron when it accelerates through an electric potential difference of one volt.
