Title: transformer ratios
Post by: Shack05 on November 10, 2010, 09:02:54 am
If the ratio of Vp to Vs is just Np to Ns is there any advantage / disadvantage to having the coils 1000:2000 as opposed to 1:2, they would both step up the same.

Thanks!

the more coils you have; the stronger the propagation of the magnetic field through the soft iron core.
i THINK.

However, I don't know what they implications are.
GOod question, I'm waiting for a feasible answer too.

Hopefully before the exam :P

But with 1000 coils the emf is much later then 1
