What will everyone be doing first? What are your thoughts?
-
MC to warm up, and I tend to make more mistakes in MC. So better do that while im fresh.
-
I'm doing MC, cos I learn and/or remember things whilst doing them.
It was beneficial in the '09 exam for some students when they had an MC question relating NADH being a biochemical fuel and used it in a question in short answer asking for a biochemical fuel.
-
I'm gonna do whatever looks easier first. If MC are looking time-consuming I'll try short answer, but if short answer look really tricky I'll do MC. I think it will be a VERY long exam considering the 82 marks. So right now I'm kinda leaning towards doing SA first because I can sometimes lose track of time if I do MC first, and obviously there are much more marks in SA. But I'll have to see the paper before I make my final decision..
-
I always do SA first, since it takes longer, leaving me with 50 mins on average for MC + checking :D
-
I do as many MC questions as I can , leaving the ones that require some thought
Then move onto short answer, do all the easy ones first
then go back later to the ones that require more time.
-
MC for about 20-25 minutes, any longer than that leave it. and if any specific question is taking too long skip it.
then SA
come back to check over the last of MC
'your exam is now over'
then, party down.

I seriously hate chem's MCQ.. lack of concentration when i read always cost me. :'(

Just remember
and you will be fine for concentration ;)

concentration as in (M) = N/V
It's a joke. Smart one too haha.

lol. and for the topic, SA all the way.

a smart joke would involve copious amounts of smarties. Perhaps even more than the avacado constant.

Haha. DEFINITELY more than the avocado constant. Now I feel like a chicken and avocado sandwich....Not even joking :|

Aye, multiple choice for me. Helps me settle down and get my head in the right place. Man, I am ridiculously nervous about this exam!
-
i was always told to read through the short answer first in reading time, but answer the mc. it warms you up and can refresh your memory for answers in sa.

just wing it
