No board is up for it, so I though I would ask here. How'd you guys go?

Better then I expected, it seemed easier then previous years exams when I was skimming over them.

wasn't too bad

worse question answered would have to be the algorithm... i wasn't able to find what the problem was... but some did..

we were told to write "other" in one of the questions with the features of the trolley...

multiple choice wasn't too hard =D

who can remember M>C write some questions in here

i remember with the A>B -OR- C>B- D = True  (that was c in the answers i think)

:)

The problem I found (could be wrong) was that the algorithm did not allow a password to be both letters and numbers together, it seemed to be either one or the other.

Yeah I got the same answer as you for that, I spent a bit of time on that question getting angry how B>A and C>B and could not see it anywhere. I even wrote done as I looked at all of the > and < until I finally saw the word OR!

The problem in the algorithm was that in the beginning it verifies the first character of the password with out checking it, then when it comes to the part of the algorithm that actually validates it starts from the second character (CharNum = CharNum + 1 is before it) Therefore even if the first character isn't a letter or number it will still accept it.

EDIT: I also got the same answer for the MC.

thats true, it is initialised at 1, therefore +1, would skip the first character and just check the second character.
how bout for the SBS AND BBC, multiple choice question...what testing?

Informal Testing
Software Testing
Acceptance Testing
______________

i chose software testing, wasnt too sure about it though :(

I chose software testing as well, it seemed like the most logical answer.

the last answer to that one was validation testing... ive never heard of the other testing except validate testing.. and manual cheeking

so im not sure for that answer...

and yes.. the OR was the tricky part

lastly the algorithm you just said with the first letter...

thats what everyone else said.. but i didnt notice it :(

6 marks down the drain :(

The majority of my class didn't notice that either, so I assume that most people would have looked over it so don't feel too bad about it. Can still easily get an A+ :D

 2.  B
 3.  D
 4.  B
 5.  A
 6.  A
 7.  C
 8.  C
 9.  D
 10. A
 11. D
 12. B
 13. C
 14. D
 15. B
 16. B
 17. A
 18. B
 19. C
 20. B
