What do you guys think?
Hoping it'll be relatively low!
-
54/65
-
i think it may be low this year based on the larger number of 5 and 6 mark questions, previous exams had questions worth less marks but this year a small gap in knowledge may have costed you 6 or 12 marsks
-
Yeh I reckon that it's highly unlikely that any person will get full marks for ALL if the weird questions, so I'd say close to 52 ish
We shall see! Hopefully it's low haha
-
Maybe it will be the same (55/65) but scaling is less? :D hopefully!
-
Too many broad and ambiguous questions will lead me to believe that the cutoff is around 50-52 this year.
-
ok, what if i didnt answer the mgt functions question (4 marks) and the strategy they could use (4 marks) :tickedoff:
would i still make the a+ cut off???
-
Assuming you got full marks for everything else, you will
-
Yeah my guess is that the cutoff will be roughly 10 marks lost
-
and if you lost more than 10 marks say 15 marks what would be your score. low 40's??

Tough to get 40's with an A unless your get A+ for your SAC component.

Don't lose hope man, we don't even know what the A+ cutoff will be or how much it may scale down this year. Ultimately, its what those imcompetent, power hungry fools think...

:) thanks buddy

this shows last years result
-
Dont forget guys, there are 5 marks more this year, which would also influence the cut off for an A+. Last year's asked for basically everything learnt throughout the year with a heavy reliance on case studies, meaning that students had an easier time in finding correct answers as it was right in front of their faces. This year, as mentioned many times, had ambiguous questions. For example i found 'The Charity Foundation' question pretty difficult as you needed to list inputs outputs and processes for a charity, something i failed to do throughout the year. Also, as mentioned as well people would find it harder to achieve full marks for the large amount of 4+ marks questions. So i do think this years cut off will be low, perhaps even lower than last years despite being 5 marks more.
(My opinion :) )
-
Agreed ^
-
i hope so otherwise im screwed because i didnt answer 8 marks in total :S :S
-
its kinda hard to compare to last year as many questions where 2 or 3 marks this year there were 2 questions below 4 marks on the enitre exam?? No questions were really straigforward with many requiring deeper thinking. The fact that a small mistake misreading or a small gap in knowledge could lead to a straight cut of 6 marks really makes me think the A+ will be quite low. Even lasts years exam (easy im comparison) a loss of 10 marks still give an A+ should be lower this year
-
hopefully v. low 40's/65 :D nah but i prediiccctt hmmm '52/65' :)
-
Ok, then what score do you reckon for 62/65, 60/65 and 57/65
(My high and low range haha)
-
in my all wise and expert opinion (not), i would say for those scores (assuming you are in the top 10 or so of a decent cohort)
1. 46-49 ... probs a 47ish as dropping only 3 marks in an exam like that is a fair effort
2. 45+ probably more
3. 43+ as it is still a medium-ish A+ score
:)
-
60/65 for this year's exam will definately get you high 40s...
63+ will get you a 50 I think if you are top ranked etc... at a strong school
Based on what I've read on this forum and the many people I have spoken to who did the exam... many people stuffed it up big time... especially the last question... all the people who focused on Kotters.... well there goes your 40...
-
will a 55/65 get you to 40? :(
-
will a 55/65 get you to 40? :(
I would reckon so because:
Last year's A+ cutoff was 50.5/60 (9.5 marks)
Because this year has an extra 5 marks + difficulty, I'd say the A+ cutoff will be ~53 / 65
A+ A+ A+ is practically a 40, so I'd be saying low 40's if you had a fairly decent rank/school
-

Nah.... most marks were lost by not referring to the case study adequately enough.

That is his exam mark, but every exam gets marked twice (hence the /130), but because the exam itself is only out of 65 we talk about it in that way
-
Ahhhhh thanks :) I understand it now thank yo :)
