Mon 7th : FM
Edit: as Luken93 said, It really sucks for those doing the "Asian 5"
Tues 8th: MM
Wed 9th: MM
Thu 10th: SM
Fri 11th: SM
Mon 14th: Chem
Tue 15th: Physics!

Wow at English Language being all the way at the end.. thats surprising
Pretty good timetable you guys got it good :D
-
Mid years - psych and chem on the same day.
-
Wow english language at the end, that's pretty awesome. :D
-
Thanks for that, im pretty happy with it :)
Only annoying thing is that the methods and spesh exams are back to back xD
Cant complain at least my exams are quite spread out :D
-
Wow english language at the end, that's pretty awesome. :D
I guess it means during SWOTVAC more students won't be cramming for English Language.. hmm
-
I have:
Chemistry (Exam 1) - 15th June
English - 3rd November
Methods (Exam 1) - 8th November
Methods (Exam 2) - 9th November
Chemistry (Exam 2) - 14th November
Legal Studies - 15th November
Latin - 16th November
I have exams back-to-back from the 14th-16th. Other than that, it seems alright. xD
-
will results still be 13th of december?
-
June 14th, locked in.
SCARY SCARY
-
Mid years - psych and chem on the same day.
They always are. It sucks big time :(
-
will results still be 13th of december?
I heard it was the 12th
-
will results still be 13th of december?
I heard it was the 12th
Its aways the first monday of that week, so the 12th.
Exams later, earlier results o-o
-
Further and Psych on the same day.. fuck.
But I get redemption from that killer day with an 8 day break until my other exams (Legal + VCD) ! Yay :)
-
What date does everyone finish?
15th !
-
18th..... stupid jap exam. at least there is a good break between chemistry and jap :D
-
16th! Not bad.
-
Chem Exam 2 is on my 18th birthday :(
Aaand i don't finish until the 22nd.
For me it's English, *massive gap* Spesh, Chemistry, Physics (if I do physics next year) *massive gap* French
-
feeling sorry for the yr 11 in my Accounting class who has Accounting and Bio on the same day :P
-
I finish on the 16th! xD
-
feeling sorry for the yr 11 in my Accounting class who has Accounting and Bio on the same day :P
very unlucky! bio and any exam on the same day is very unfortunate.
-
What happens when you have 3 on the same day? I'd kill myself
-
What happens when you have 3 on the same day? I'd kill myself
That would suck. I thought VCAA scheduled it so students would only have 2 exams per day max.
-
Luckily further has the weekend :| Sorry for the Methods and Specialist guys though.
-
Ouch. I would hate to be doing methods and spesh next year.
-
Fuck.
Psych Unit 4, Session 3: 3 - 4:45
I can't focus after 3:20 [ end of school ] ::)
This ruins my pattern :(
Such is life ; Unit 3 is sweet though :)
-
Right now I am REALLY glad that I did methods this year. Otherwise I would have a non-stop stream of exams.
-
Awesome timetable!
3rd Thursday: English
10th Thursday: Spesh Exam 1
11th Friday Spesh Exam 2
14th Monday Chem Exam 2
22nd Tuesday Chinese
No exams on the same week besides the 2 spesh exams!
-
^same as my timetable *high five* unless I decide to take physics.
-
Romperait - screwed over by the vcaa timetable since 2010.
Why do I get to have a unit 4 exam on my birthday two years in a row? =(
-
Good luuck to every1 in year 12 next year including me XD. AHHH the excitement :D
When do we get out ATAR results for 2011 btw?

Is Methods Exam 1 really that short?
OH YEAH!!!! Physics and methods with a bit of space PUMPED!!! That's just a pwnage timetable
-
Fuck.
Psych Unit 4, Session 3: 3 - 4:45
I can't focus after 3:20 [ end of school ] ::)
This ruins my pattern :(
Such is life ; Unit 3 is sweet though :)
easy problem to fix, just do a practice each day leading up to an exam at 3 XD
-
^same as my timetable *high five* unless I decide to take physics.
Haha mine is also if I don't get into MUEP and have to do biology :(.
-
oh no! literature and economics on the same day :S
on the plus side, a 6 day gap before my final exam (international studies). Score :D
-
You gotta feel bad for the students who do Methods and Specialist. 4 consecutive days lol
-
FUUUU
Tuesday 8th 9am - 10:15am: Methods 1
Wednesday 9th 11:45am - 2pm Methods 2
Thursday 10th 3pm-5:15pm Literature
Friday 11th 3pm - 5:15pm Renaissance Italy
Monday 14th 3pm-5:15pm Philosophy
That's ALL my subjects in a row. :S
-
Well, it's better than this year's timetable and worse for others. Good that physics and chem aren't back-to-back for midyear exams, but worse that all four maths exams are within four days if you do specialists and methods.
-
What date does everyone finish?
15th !
Yep I'm 15th too. Eng & Further back to back is not a real thrill, but other than that all good. Lovely break between Eco & Legal.
-
FUUUU

sucks to be you.

Hmm, I'm going to have a lot of fun. At least I have time to really prepare for my German exam.

Ummm, sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but your MUEP chem exam will almost certainly be in november probably around the middle. :\
-
I sware they are targeting the Asian 5,
Tuesday Methods Exam 1
Wednesday Methods Exam 2
Thursday Spesh 1
Friday Spesh 2
Monday Chem
And if you're doing Physics, thats on Tuesday!
FML
And I'm not even asian!
-
ATAR Results are actually out on Friday 16th December...
In 2011, final results will be issued on Friday 16 December and the Post Results and ATAR Service (PRAS) will be available over the weekend following.
This is probably due to the fact that 2011's term dates are slightly later than usual, causing the November Exam period to be moved later and hence the ATAR results to be also moved later...
-
@vexx:
Oh great. FML.
-
Would it kill them to stretch out midyears by one or two days so I don't have 2 on the same day?
-
Thanks for the info.
Bad timetable for me next year :(
-
Brilliant timetable for me, stuff of dreams. :D
-
Brilliant timetable for me, stuff of dreams. :D
Lucky you.
I don't even do spesh/chem yet I'm stuck with the exact same exam dates. :(
-
Tues 14th June: Biology
Wed 15th June: Chem (at least midyears are different days :) )
BUT
Thurs 3rd Nov: English
Fri 4th Nov: Biology AND Further!
Mon 7th Nov: Further
Thurs 10th Nov: Spesh
Fri 11th Nov: Spesh
Mon 14th: Chem
Hmm .. not sure I like this :S
-
Except for Friday the 4th of November, your timetable is better than mine - it's relatively spread out. I have 3 exams in 3 days, which sort of sucks. =\
Chemistry (Exam 1) - 15th June
English - 3rd November
Methods (Exam 1) - 8th November
Methods (Exam 2) - 9th November
Chemistry (Exam 2) - 14th November
Legal Studies - 15th November
Latin - 16th November
That's mine.
-
biol/further is gna be a bitch
-
My timetable's ok, although I don't finish until the 18th!
-
Eh, mine sucks. I've got a week were I have an exam EVERY DAY :(
Mid years:
Tuesday 14 June - Physics
Wednesday 15 June - Psychology
End of year exams:
Thursday 3 November - English
Monday 7 November - Psychology
Tuesday 8 November - Methods
Wednesday 9 November - Methods
Thursday 10 November - Spesh
Friday 11 November - Spesh
Tuesday 15 November - Physics
Five exams within five days, kill me now.
-
LOTE's are fine.
Thurs 3rd - English
Thurs 10th - Outdoor Ed
Mond 14th - Philosophy
Thurs 17th - Englang
Best timetable ever, I love you VCAA.
-
methods/spesh week will be an absolute killer... then chem a few days after them
-

So glad I'm dropping Physics, otherwise I'd have 6 in a row!

+1 That timetable is more than enough reason for me to say "stuff physics, I don't need a 7th subject"

I don't see why they've done it, I would've said that it would be a fairly popular combination...
-
They did it to screw over VCE students. Exams are a prime example of VCAA's incompetence.

Not sure I'd go that far hahaha.

Just cos you've got a nice timetable haha

Us methods/spesh students particularly the asian/suicide 5 students have enough reason to rage!!!!
-
Us methods/spesh students particularly the asian/suicide 5 students have enough reason to rage!!!!
I agree, it's a joke but not much we can do about it. Fair enough about Chem/Physics and Methods being in a close vicnity, but seeing as though Spesh requires Methods, majority of kids are going to have 4 exams in a row.
Grr if only my school would've let me do Methods in Year 11.....
-
I wanted to do methods in yr 11 as well :(
-
Right now I'm so happy I chose to do Methods this year! My friend, who did 1/2 Methods in Year 10, decided to postpone 3/4 until Year 12. She is not going to be happy when she sees the timetable.
-
@funkyducky are you still doing physics? i thought u dropped it?
-
Yeah, I'm dropping it swarley.
-
How come?
-
I hear exams got pushed forward because of Easter Monday and Anzac day that follow after the term 1 holidays...
And because they take up two days of a week, vcaa thought it would be extremely unfair to students missing out on two days of work...they moved all the exams a week later
But I reckon it was a bit cruel for vcaa to put spesh and meth. Back to back. And it's also sad that they didn't structure the timetable to include Melbourne cup....that way it's a definite that everyone at least gets a break between exams
-
How come?
For the reason stated above by andrewloppol; because the physics teachers at my school are subpar; because VCE Physics is hardly what I'd call intellectually stimulating.
I should probably take Physics out of my sig.
-
mid years seem ok, physics and chem seperate days as always
end of year - good break between english and methods tech free
another good break between methods tech and chem exam 2
and then hell starts - chem and IT apps 1 hr apart, and physics the next day, but at least i have no exams in the 3pm period, had legal this year at 3pm, and i wanted to kill myself :P
-
I love my timetable already (although I'll probably hate it in about a semesters time XD):
Physics - Tuesday 14 June / 11:45am – 1:30pm
Chemistry – Wednesday 15 June / 11:45am – 1:30pm
General Achievement Test (GAT) – Thursday 16 June / 10:00am – 1:15pm
Undergraduate Medicine Admission Test - Wednesday 27 July / 4 hours
Japanese Oral Exam - Monday 10 October to Wednesday 2 November
English – Thursday 3 November / 9:00am – 12:15pm
Mathematical Methods (CAS) Exam 1 – Tuesday 8 November / 9:00am – 10:15am
Mathematical Methods (CAS) Exam 2 – Wednesday 9 November / 11:45am – 2:00pm
Physics – Wednesday 15 November / 11:45am – 1:30pm
Chemistry – Thursday 14 November / 9:00am – 10:45pm
Japanese Written Exam – Monday 18 November / 11:45am – 2:00pm
The best thing about the 2011 timetable compared to the 2010 timetable for me would be that the major subjects are nicely spread out. I have 5 days between English and the pair of Methods exams, 6 days from the Methods exams to the Science exams and 4 days from the Science exams to the Japanese Written exam. Also, Chemistry is before Physics this year which I think is fantastic since I'm concentrating so much more in that.
I must be so lucky to have it like that for me next year; a timetable like 2010 wouldn't have been too good.
-
and then hell starts - chem and IT apps 1 hr apart, and physics the next day, but at least i have no exams in the 3pm period, had legal this year at 3pm, and i wanted to kill myself :P
Do people actually care what time their exams are on?.. I don't favour a particular time of day to do an exam. I would have thought it doesn't matter what time it is - just turn up and do the exam.
-
^^I prefer the middle period: sleep in a bit but are still fresh for the exam
-
I like 9am exams, still nice and fresh in the morning. I hate afternoon exams especially ones at 3pm like Biology exam 2 this year.... so bad was a warm day as well
-
I suppose afternoon exams are probably the worst IMO. You have to wait nearly the whole day just to do one exam - stress and anxiety levels build up.
-
I like 9am exams, still nice and fresh in the morning. I hate afternoon exams especially ones at 3pm like Biology exam 2 this year.... so bad was a warm day as well
I loved it! I watched a movie before hand! So relaxing before an exam
-
So what's the general consensis, are afternoon exams good or bad? I have a few and thought that it was good, but quite a few people seem to disagree?
-
I loved having both Methods exams in the morning! Much better than twiddling your thumbs for hours, unsure of whether you should do any revision or not.
-
Yeah i watched a couple of movies i think before the exam, but i dont like having to wait to do the exam.
If it's in the morning, you would have woken up, the brain fresh from a good rest and you wont have to wait long.
-
Depends on the individual. I think afternoon exams are worse (not necessarily bad) than morning exams. With morning exams, you can get it over and done with and the nerves aren't as high.
-
Depends on the individual.
+1, thats the real answer The Ghost Inside!
-
if your ready for an exam it shouldnt matter what time of day it is.... Once your in that room your gunna be switched on. Good luck with all your exams this year guys
and thank god i didnt finish next year otherwise chem exam 1 would be on my birthday
-
If i repeated with these possible subjects, it actually looks really good - so spread out xD
4th FRI: Biology
8th TUES: Meth 1
9th WED: Meth 2
14th MON: Chem
17th THU: Englang
-
I don't mind afternoon exams, but it can get awwfully hot like this year for BM, 40 degree heat at 3pm in the afternoon...
-
I didn't mind my afternoon Revs exam this year because I had 2 weeks to prepare for one subject. That was nice. :P
I think with next year's timetable (4 days in a row and the monday after) an afternoon exam will be more annoying because instead of feeling prepared and relaxed during the day I'll probably still be cramming.
-
i think it depends on the situation your in with an afternoon exam
like for me, my bio exam 2 was on a friday afternoon and my school put my year 11 exams on monday and tuesday on the same week. Because bio was in the afternoon i sort of had around 3 days to study (which was a lucky thing because some people only had 2 study days)
but i guess it all comes down to whether you're a morning or an afternoon person...
-
As stated, it depends on the individual. Personally I find morning exams far better than middle or afternoon exams. I feel fresh and I also like getting it out of the way. I would not be able to sit and just watch a movie if I had an afternoon exam...I would be freaking out. At least with morning exams, like methods this year, I only had to freak out on the way to school. However this year, my methods exam 2 ended one hour before my Classics exam in the afternoon which was rather painful.
I'm getting severely owned by the timetable next year. Leaving out English, I would have 5 exams within 5 days with Lit and Specialist exam 1 on the same day... I'm just glad I dropped Physics for English...otherwise I would have been really screwed because the one day i have off now in the 5 days would be filled. MEH...who cares...it'll be fine with lots of preparation.
-
personally, i'm a lot more awake in the morning and so an exam in the morning tends to be better for me. i hated having legal at 3pm this year because i spent the whole day freaking out, which really was a wate of a day, and i also became really tired...but some people like the 3pm time becuase they can 'cram' i.e. a girl at my school
