Can someone please explain the process, edmunds link doesnt work

Your transfer will just be like my transfer.
You apply through VTAC, and your ATAR ('full academic record') still stands but your uni results will be most of the weight in deciding whether your transfer will be accepted.
And then you can transfer, having done all the subjects required or at least some, including breadth, you should be able to apply for advanced standing if accepted.

why on earth does atar still count?? how much %?

Because you haven't completed a degree, so they don't have a full GPA for you.

If you finish a year and then apply, it's a heavier weighting to uni subjects but they still look at your ATAR
