Ok so I'm 2/3 years down right now. This summer I've been working full time in an internship, which has been great in many ways. However, it definately got me thinking.
I have but one year left of sleeping in till midday, missing classes when I want, getting wasted on a tuesday night without consequence, cramming a semester's work into 2 weeks, having like 5 months holidays every year, basically doing whatever I want, the list goes on and on. Don't get me wrong, work obviously has it's benefits, namely the coin and all the new people. But in so many ways it will restrict my life. I don't want to leave uni! 3 years seems way too short.
I will most likely take some time off to travel and the like, but that will only last so long with the money I'll have. Postgrad study is an option, but will probably get offered to join the firm I'm working at as a grad, which is a pretty good opportunity which I would have to sacrifice.
Anyway my question is, are there others out there who don't want to leave? Or, are people more set on the 'just get out there and earn $$' kind of attitude?

haha yeah uni does have its benefits :P
although i guess you gotta move on someday so yeah...

Uni life is awesome. Makes me consider failing just for the sake of staying there. Thing is though, all your friends will graduate and move on with their lives and it's unlikely things will stay the same, such as getting wasted in the middle of the week and whatnot. Everyone will straighten out their lives soon so you're pretty much forced to yourself I guess.

My friend's dad stayed in uni for 16 years. Reason? Because he liked it.

I've been working full time these holidays - sometimes consecutive 10-hour days. I've never appreciated university so much in my life. Luckily (??) I have about 3 years left to go at least. :P
How about doing further study? :P

Actually, I'm looking forward to a normal job. Between work and uni, I do 7 days a week and I am *so* over it. Over the bulk of summer, I work close to full-time hours. My grades fell this semester, because I just cbf'd. Once I come back from exchange (which is, btw, the shake-up in my life that will stop me from failing due to cbf-ness), I'm going to try to pump out the last of my degree as quickly as I can.

^ Fair enough I guess. Don't know how long you will have been at uni, but personally 3 years seems really short.

The real world scares the shit out of me. I'm going to be at uni forever.

I wish I could never leave uni, but I'll get kicked out eventually :(

Currently a 3rd year.
Projected total time at uni: 5.5 years (one year spent on exchange)
