Title: Enrolment for Double Degrees?
Post by: grevenchorf on January 05, 2011, 08:54:32 pm
Hi,

Just a quick question with enrolment for double degrees - do you need to attend both enrolment days for your respective degrees?

Say, for instance, I was accepted into Law/Arts at Clayton, would I need to attend the Arts enrolment on the 14th and then attend the Law enrolment on the 16th?

Thanks in advance :)

Yes they are different sessions but probably not entirely necessary if you have better things to do on the day

Are they subject information sessions? If that's the case then that wouldn't be the actual enrolment. For me I just had to go in on the one day to enrol/hand in my subjects. I actually missed out on the information day, but I think there were meant to be two sessions on the one day

Ditto. I didn't show up to mine either in 2008 since I was staying with friends in Sydney for two months. I didn't want to waste my time/money going back and forth between states just to attend this.

Go ahead and show up if you're not doing anything else semi-important on those days, otherwise don't fret.

Sorry, I'm so confused - I thought these were compulsory enrolment days? So we don't *actually* have to show up for anything? The way it's worded on the Monash website it sounds like you have to go in on your specified "enrolment day" to collect your ID card and possibly other stuff (I'm reading from here: http://www.monash.edu.au/enrolments/first-time/domestic/collect-id.html). Is this not the case?

PS. I'm from Tasmania so I haven't had any of the knowledge passed down to me from older friends or family, I apologise if I sound like an idiot :P

as long as you finish enrolling online, you can go to the monash student service centre to get your ID anytime. I got mine a week late :P

though i didnt get a diary lol

on the enrolment day all they did was get you to enrol into your subjects in a computer room anyway. It's pretty much exactly the same as doing it at home.

I have a student card already but it only says Enhancement studies, so I'm assuming I'm going to get a brand new spanking one? Although my student ID on WES and mymonash is remaining the same I think
