Hey all,
I was unable to attend the AAD yesterday :'( because of running into some difficulties..
Do i "really" have to call up student centre to inform them? After all, I have already completedy all my enrollments online
(admin and subject).. i think :-X
And just a little side question, they didn't record your attendance there, did they?
Thanks,
~W0rr13d 0n3

No they didn't take attendance, so no I highly doubt you actually need to call them. Just pop in at some point to get your ID card + diary I guess.

If you're really worried you can attend the second AAD on Feb 17.

If you're doing biomed you didn't miss much besides the breadth sessions imo. All the info from the biomed session is on the net, and you can pick up your student card at any time - I went in and got mine today cause the line was too long yesterday (there was no line today).

Got it from the Sidney Myer Centre (same place as on AAD). Was there at about 11am.

And it also follows that I dont need to enrol in my final subject for Sem 2 right?

The photo on your ID card better look good because that photo and ID will stay with you for the whole duration of your undergraduate degree. :)
-
The trick is to pretend it's stolen, so you don't have to pay the replacement fee
-
Do you reckon I can request to keep my old card? Probably not, it expires 2012.
But the picture is NICE.
-
Whatever shall I wear? ???
-
Just make sure your hair looks purdy.

Okay so will I then unless I feel particularly attractive on the day I go in.
Edit: is it at Wilson Hall again?

Mine expires in 2012 and I got it last year D: Can I still get a new one because my current one is 10 levels of shocking.
-
I didn't even know my student card had an expiry date, I've used it exactly once in the last year
-
My one use was to get into the anatomy museum (and it was during December, when uni was over lol)
You won't need to swipe in for first year, the chem and bio labs aren't accessible to students unless you have class in there so they're locked by a regular key and the staff will let you in
-
So did I, there's no need to make them swipe entry (although you might need your card to get checked off)
-
Apart from prac classes and the lounge for union members were else do we swipe?
-
You don't swipe for the lounge. Umm, if you're at uni after hours you need it to get into the libraries/study rooms etc. but that's about it
-
Virtually the entire old eng building.
