Title: Random lvl 1 science subs? (vision, universe, environment)
Post by: vexx on February 01, 2011, 05:08:45 pm
Hi,

I'm starting to think I don't want to do physics as it looks so boring and may just teach only the needed stuff for GAMSAT, so I'm wanting to choose another level 1 science subject..
Has anyone heard of people who've done any of the below and if so, how did you/they find it? Was it hard to do well? Is it very sciencey or more a humanities type subject? etc..

OPTO10001 (655-111) Vision: How The Eye Sees The World

MULT10011 (600-161) Introduction to Life, Earth and Universe (this sounds pretty cool..)

ERTH10001 (625-101) The Global Environment

GEOG10001 (121-110) Famine in the Modern World

Thanks

Vexx

Fundamentals doesn't exactly cover all the same topics, I could teach myself / get a tutor to help me through the important ones that I do need to know, rather then be bored/be challenged possibly with all the extra stuff.

If you're already doing 4 breadth this year, don't take another one. Physics is actually a pretty decent subject, personally I'd stick with it. As for the list, I've heard that Vision is interesting and not too dry

I'm doing 3 breadths this year and these subjects above aren't breadth subjects - just switching physics for another first year science to fill in that requirement.
Ok cool, do you know much else about the subject? Like workload & difficulty?
