Hi. I was just wondering would it be wise to do biology units 3 n' 4 in yr 11 without 1 n'2.
I'm already doing another 3/4 subject this year but I'm thinking to complete two. :buck2:
Would it be too hard...stressful?
Anyone ever done two units 3n'4 subjects in year 12 ... successfully? :D

You shuold be fine, most of unit 2 is irrelevent anyway. Just read through some unit 1 stuff that are associated with 3/4.
-
Nah, I know a few people that did that and it was fine. They said that the important parts are revisited in 3/4 anyway

I didn't do unit 1 or 2, and if I had I probably wouldn't of done bio as I didn't enjoy it :(. Only do it if your know you're going to like it.
Having said that, I have 2 friends who didn't do 1+2, but enjoyed bio and both got 50s.

Have they got any hints for getting 50s without Unit 1/2? O_O

They didn't focus on 1+2s at all, and they started prac exams about 3 weeks into the exams (some members on here are going over the top by doing all this stuff now!). Sure they get a 50, but their other foundations are screwed.

I did 3/4 Bio without doing 1/2 at all and didn't even bother looking at anything related to 1/2 over the holidays or at all. Not sure what successfully is, but I was really happy with my score. It ended up being my 2nd highest study score.
Also I now love biology.
P.S. I think you mean year 11, because most people do more than 2 3/4s in year 12 successfully. At least, that's the plan. :)

Most of the important things are gone over pretty well again anyway, so it might be a little more difficult to grasp compared to someone who has done 1/2 but i think you'll cope.
