wow. My stationary looks really 20th century compared to this
-
My first reaction was pretty much wow. :D
But after some contemplation, I reckon' it'll be a bit of a bother to have to 'unroll' and cut tape everytime you want to highlight something.
-
i think it comes with a tape dispenser. Kind of like normal tape.

Found it. :)
I don't think I'd actually buy it though.
1) I'm an ebay n00b.
2) I like regular highlighters :D
-
how annoying though because you have to break it off everytime. maybe if it was in the form of paper whiteout where you just roll it on but still...it will slow down your reading....regular highlighters ftw

Yeah, and i also like my books to be in pristine condition - don't you just love that new book smell, the crispness of the pages?!
Or do i just have some weird fetish?

+1
(although Hermione (from Harry Potter series) is similar to that... (with parchment))

Sounds awesome at first...
...but what happens if you're bad at sticking sticky tape down without creating creases or air bubbles.?

And all these sticky products that claim to come off easily, only to rip the page after you've used it :(

I have learnt that lesson many a times and as said if you put it in the wrong spot and try to take it off it could end badly if in a textbook or notebook of yours.
Good idea if it is easily applied though. Probably pop up in officeworks and such sooner rather than later like those battery powered rubbers/erasers a few years back.

True. But highlighting directly onto the book is permanent; especially if after reading the page you realise that all you highlighted was unnecessary. At least these tapes give you the opportunity to remove such mistakes. (I know a friend who basically covers the whole page with different colours. She claims that she needs the colour to 'see' the important stuff - it just dazzles my eyes.)
-
That is very cool :O
Though I think it would be a little annoying to try to tear the right length of tape.. I can see myself tearing off tiny bits and patching it all together every time, aha.
I don't usually highlight my textbooks, but for worksheets where you have to highlight stuff, those FriXon highlighters which you can rub out using the back of the pen seem to work well in case you make a mistake and have to un-highlight a phrase :)

Oh yeh, just like those sticky tabs that pull off text if you have them stuck too long

Fair point there. Yeah I also know people who just highlight the whole page with different colours and only when a SAC is close they realise that they didn't need to highlight half of what they did.

I'm not exactly sure it's right to enjoy the smell of new books. They tend to smell quite sharp and I don't think it's good for you.
Maybe you are getting high on it?

Most people I know who like the smell of petrol also like the smell of liquid paper

Yeah that's what I meant, smelling books really reminds me of smelling petrol. Sharp but merrily happy. Lol no wonder there's as much bookworms as petrol addicted druggies
