Title: Chemistry for Physics majors
Post by: vayjo on February 20, 2011, 10:09:38 pm
If I plan to major in a physics, would I need chemistry in first year? I know it isn't required, but would I be disadvantaged if I didn't take chemistry?
Chemistry was my worst subject in year 12 (28 raw) so I don't think I will do well in uni chem. I was thinking I could do engineering instead, would this be a better option?

No, you won't need it.

Eng is a much better choice in terms of keeping options open if you end up deciding against physics. Might not really 'add' much for a physics major, though.
