Title: Urgent: Redox titration of the fertiliser PLEASE PLEASE really need help
Post by: apsamrit on March 14, 2011, 01:19:07 pm
Can someone please help me with the prac.
We have to design an experiment on determination of iron(2) content of lawn fertliser by redox titration. I don't know how to do the experiment as i have not done and redox titration before. Can some one provide me with the steps to do and list the materials required?

Thanks in advance.

you could oxidise it to Fe3+ using standardised KMnO4.
to standardise KMnO4 you'd need to use oxalic acid as a primary standard.
