Just wondering if I'm able to do 3/4 psych without 1/2?
-
Yes.
All you'd have to catch up on (and not even) is Resarch Methods.
-
Yes you're able, but remember that others are at an advantage because they will have looked at research methods in the past and also be more familiar with how psych is assessed. I personally only did unit 2 in year 10, didn't do psych at all in year 11 and then did 3/4 in year 12 and still did fine :) Just work well and you won't be disadvantaged at all, luckily most of the topics in 3/4 are different to 1/2.

Yes you don't need 1/2
I know many people that've performed brilliantly without 1/2
Psych is a subject that tests areas with certain concepts, but the concepts that areas focused on in 1/2 are different from 3/4 so there is nearly no overlap (except as ATAR mentioned research methods, but everything you need to know is told in 3/4, there might just a be a bit of it in 1/2)

I'm doing 3/4 without 1/2 this year and it's not really a disadvantage because the majority of the stuff taught in 3/4 wasn't in 1/2 anyway C:
Actually, around half of the people in my class skipped straight to 3/4 without 1/2 and are doing just as well as those who did 1/2. Like the others have already said, the only thing that's carried over that you'd wanna do extra work on is research methods.

still did fine :)
Yeah your score was ok....I guess. :P
3/4 Psych without 1/2 is fine, normally they teach RM with the assumption you've forgotten it all anyway.
