So,
Holidays are now in sight (only 13 more school days left). How do you plan to use yours?
I'm gonna set myself goals this year for my holidays and I am to get 50 hours of work done over the two weeks (10 hours per subject; 3.5 hours a day). Just trying to push ahead a little bit (things are always much easier if you've already done them).
I figgure that that number of hours should leave plenty of time to have fun during my holidays too (which is the end purpose) and I'll try and cram as much into these ones as possible because my term 3 ones will be wasted with school work :(- so I'll try and compensate for that.
ROAR.
Also, I apologise in advance for creating another procrastination fueling thread.
-
I've got a leadership camp (to Canberra) in the last week of term, so my holidays will be spent catching up with that work, plus trying to get ahead as well. And whatever holiday homework they set.

oh cool, that sounds fun. My midyear holidays are gonna get taken up with a youth parliament camp thingy which will take up a week (If they let me skip their training weekend which is on my birthday <|:D)

Mine will consist of studying for my sacs. I have 4 sacs in the first 3 days back D: Sooo bad :'(
I will also probably start doing more exam style questions for some of my subjects. Oh and finish reading one of my books.
-
Holidays = studying, studying, studying and doing work I was supposed to do during the term that I cbs doing.
Gonna be so fun
-
To start writing essays for the Essay and Submission Marking Thread again :X
along with studies for other various subjects.
Ohh, and having bbq/eat outs/movies with some friends :D <<<< Holiday is about rewarding yourself, afterall. <<<<<<<<<<<< (THIS WILL DEPEND IF I GET MOST OF MY SACS BACK WITH A+!)

I really need to catch up on badminton over the hols, before I lose touch and become noob. (still stuck in MHS Bs though)
As with Water, I definitely need to go out and watch a movie too!
-
I am hanging out for holidays so much!!
I'm so behind in everything... feel like I'm drowning in a sea of homework ...
Oh well only 2 and a half weeks to go :D
-
I shall be working for my Renaissance SAC due first week back. :)
Loads of practice Keats essays, reading my lit novels (especially Atonement) and watching Kenneth Branagh's Hamlet (cause I think his is the best) :D Also will be trying to get a good start on the creative SAC for Lit, based on The Boat.
Hopefully I'll be working ahead muchly, especially for Literature. :) I'll be overseas for 2 and a half weeks (missing an entire week of school) for the Winter Holidays and I have a weekend camp during the last weekend of the Winter Holidays so I plan to work ahead now for then. :)
-
Work experience 1st week
AOS2 of Psych 2nd week.
Eng? Cbs
Chem? Cbs
Methods? Cbs
Spesh? Dropping it lol.
-
I'm going to HK study it up...
I never realised how helpful being ahead is T_T.
For everyone that is planning to do the same; WE CAN DO THIS!
-
GETTING AHEAD IN BIOLOGY, as ive now realized that this would help me a lot too!
also, some unit1/2 methods cause ive neglected it the most this term. and maybeee physics cause its pretty hard.
o chillaxing a bit too and doing something fun on Easter :)
-
I'll be working ahead on Chemistry and English. I have an English SAC first week back and obviously the Chemistry mid-year exam. I also have to prepare for the "Bond University Mooting Competition" which takes place in early May - we'll see how far my team can go. I'll work on most of subjects really; working ahead and so on. Having said that, I'll try to find a balance between studying and relaxing... hoping for a relaxing, yet productive holiday period.
-
Finishing Methods and Further Maths courses. Oh also, studying Physics since I'm failing :(.
-
Ehhhh I tend to find that whenever I set goals in my holidays I always end up failing miserably at achieving them and ultimately just do nothing all holidays... So most likely I'll just be relaxing :)
That said, *hopefully* I'll just do the Chem + Physics checkpoints for what we've covered so far... Can't really do anything for English and Latin (cept maybe go over my Cicero once for my Tm 2 SAC), and Methods is a bit... Ceebs. Anything more than that is probably a bit ambitious, anyway.

7 hours a day
6 hours Biology
1 Hour note making
1 Hour questions
2 Hour Prac exam
1 Hour Revision
1 Hour doing random shit
1 Hour cos i can't add
1 Hour of 1 1/2 Subject
What happened to your 1 min study, 5 minute gaming policy?
-
The 7 hours is inclusive of that.
so it's really about 1 hour study :D
If you did do that, i dont think you would last.

I am going to use holidays to hopefully get well prepared for the Chemistry Mid-Year exam, and get ahead in Economics, Methods, Further and English.
Gonna attempt to write as many practice essays as I can. :D

Got about 498 pokemon to catch, also get started on praxams for my unit 3s and maybe get some methods done so i can continue doing 0 during the term.

lol I am gonna beat the Elite Four in Pokemon HeartGold come the holidays :)
-
number of pokemon caught = study score
If I get over 9000 pokemons, I hope my aggregate score is also over 9000.

Thats what all the MHS guys say.
When they say: 'I didn't study' or 'I only did about an hour',
90% of them actually mean: 'I did 3 hours yesterday, 7 on the weekend and revised it this morning in the library'.
-
i wish. I actually have been procrastinating a shit load. i have studied about 1 hour total for enzyme SAC tomorrow... : (
Don't worry, you could be Rohitpi no.2 and end up with SS of 42 for Bio as well.
Okay, time to stop procrastinating!

Abusing the shit out of Fitness First's free student program, then studying 3-4 hours each day.

I actually can't believe you didn't just get it and finish it within a couple of days...
-
What I will be doing on the holidays is very complex.
Imaginary: Study for English SAC which is first day back, finish my Chinese general convo, gather and print Chem practice exams, get ahead by 1-2 chapters in Chem, get ahead 1-2 chapters in Spesh, major catch up on uni math and start MedEntry...
Real: Game all day long...

Probaby try and complete the homework as soon as possible, then relax until desired. Will need to have 2/3 days of solid memorising though before school starts, mindful of that. Don't want to walk into term 2, class 1 with NFI.
