is anybody else going?
Or, has anybody been before?
I am going, and thinking I'll take my laptop to take notes, because I type faster than I write...or should I bring a notebook/pen instead? I donno.
:)

WHOOO I'm going (but for the Renaissance Italy one)
I went last year for Revs, didn't really take notes.
The lectures are quite good for revision, but unless your teacher is a tad dodgy you generally don't learn anything new. :)
-
Ahh thanks :) I just hope I don't get lost
My teacher is actually pretty great but it'll be great for revision considering the second part of the aos1 sac is this Wednesday... ah you're lucky you got to do renaissance and revs, would've liked to have done that.

I considered going, but i have too many sacs on this week. But was it any good? Is anyone going to the one hosted by Michael Adcock?

I went last year to Michael Adcock's, going to come right out and say that I think he was a little dry. :( Great historian, but not that great a speaker, imo.
I went to Adcock's and Richard Malone's and I thought Malone was more engaging. :)

Which one is the Malone one?

Which one is the Malone one?
Malone does the Russian Revolution. :)

is that with HTAV? now i'm regretting not going to the HTAV one. but will defs go for the mid year one.
-
i did the one last sunday for french rev - i'm going to go back for russian rev at midyear. peter mcphee was great, basically just put everything into context and i found while listening to him that i really pieced together aos1 in my head, and now feel like i know it back to front. michael adcock had a really great slideshow set up, but didn't finish it and supposedly it will be on the website but who knows - hope it does get put up. I agree with menang though, he was a little dry!
-
OMGOSH Peter McPhee spoke for Revs!?
Mega jealous. :P
-
he was signing peoples' books after the lecture haha, he looked so shocked when the first person asked.
Oh, also - I went to see the Historia slideshow presentation on the french rev after...NOT worth the time. It went for over an hour, and was basically just one person after another getting up and reading quotes from the revolution while a powerpoint played in the background. I mean, it was nicely done but it didn't help at all, and I won't be going back for the russian one they're doing unfortunately.

did the lecture come with any handouts? if so can someone upload them? thanks.
