Properties differ from different HC. Generally, the higher/bigger it is it has higher melting and boiling point, and the opposite is also true.
They are not polar..EN are almost the same between H and C
If you have a double bond, still not polar, but changes it's MP and BP. So in general, the more double bonds, the less MP and BP
If you do have a functional group, then that changes the properties making it polar, higher/lower MP and BP
