Title: Kinematics Question
Post by: nerd on June 21, 2008, 05:56:29 pm: I'm having a little trouble with this kinematics question:

A body is projected vertically upwards from a platform 10m above the ground. If ti reaches the ground in 3s, find:
a) its velocity of projection;
b) the distance above the ground which it reaches.

Hope someone will save me from several minutes of frustration...:P

a) $s=ut+\frac{1}{2}at^2$

b) $v^2=u^2+2as$
