Post by: cranberry on May 03, 2011, 10:18:57 pm
^^^^

today i was told to apply for this 'Certificate IV in Outdoor Recreation'...all i have to do is go to a 1 hour session once a month, for 7 months and i will get the certificate along with some cash..... :coolsmiley:

BUT,,,,what i want to know is if it will enhance my atar score? (it says on the form, "existing high school students may wish to have this qualification included towards your VCE...")

how does it work?

Some Certificates add an increment to your aggregate which can become a 5th or 6th subject.

It takes the average of your top 4 subjects and if this is higher than 10% of your 5th or 6th subject, one of them get pushed down to 7th and your Cert. increment takes its place.

say you had an average subject score of 44 in your top 4. Then you would receive 4.4 as one of your bottom two subjects.
