Title: Completing practice exams.

So there's 4 and a bit weeks until the mid year exam and hopefully we are getting close to our revision or finishing up chapters. What I want to know is how you all plan to complete practice exams.

I have ~20 exams I'm planning to complete and these 4 weeks to complete them. Should I spread them out and do 4 or 5 per week, or do maybe 2-3 for the first couple weeks and then spend the last week or two going ballistic and fitting the rest in?

Also, would it be wise to continue doing these exams until the day before the actual exam, or take a break that day and maybe just read over notes the morning of the exam?

Taking a break is definitely a good idea. Sometimes, just doing nothing is the best preparation. Try to finish the exams a few days before the actual exam, and then just go over your mistakes/errors.

"Going ballistic", as you put it, will probably decrease the amount of content that sinks in. If you feel confident enough, don't even go over your notes on the day of the exam. Spend the morning doing nothing (no games, tv, etc.). Just relax. :)

It makes more sense to. After every exam you do, you should spend at least 15 minutes going over it to correct errors (in order to actively learn from your mistakes). It might be difficult to find the time to do this closer to exams. Besides, you want to leave time to let everything sink in.

There is no real set order; however, most people (teachers and students alike) recommend completing the non-VCAA exams first prior to the official exams.
So basically, do all the 2007 exams written by Insight, CPAP, Neap etc., then the 2008 exams by the different companies, then the 2009, 2010, and 2011.
Finally, go through the VCAA exams in order, starting with 2007.
The logic behind this is to familiarise yourself with exam questions of varying difficulty before getting used to VCAA's layout and structure. You'll find that VCAA is usually easier than most of the other exams.
