My options are Hamlet, Stasiland and Blake's poetry

Oh, I love Hamlet and my teacher agreed that it's a brilliant text to write on.
I also personally like writing on poetry, I think it really forces you to do some great close working.

Hamlet is a definite, otherwise just go with whatever. Poetry is said to have some rather subjective marking, but as Menang stated, it's very easy to do close readings on it.

I have heard Emma is a good one to do as you are pretty much guaranteed to get passages to do with class, irony, marriage or self-deception..

Are you liking Blake's? Because poetry is difficult to appreciate and understand as well as interlace with the VCE Literature essay but, Stasiland is.... really not my preference.
I used to want to do Stasiland and thought it was great, but I found a lot of issues with analysing it and stuff.
If you think you will do better on Stasiland, not to mention it is an obscure text, then by all means go for it. I just have a few issues with it that would not make it my choice text. I think I listed them in the "Stasiland" thread.
Almost certainly going A Passage to India and Accidental Death of an Anarchist. I know both of these texts like the back of my hand, having scored full marks for the SACs (probably deserved waaaay less for ADoaA) and I can write fluently on them, so it seems obvious.
But now considering choosing Hamlet as my play. There are so many VCE essays on the text, and it's thoroughly complex. Plus the Shakespeare lexicon makes for incredible close analysis material.
My only worry is that we do not study it for school. My tutor teaches is at his school, so I'm sure he has plenty of material, but would 5 months be enough time to really absorb the entire text and hone my writing style as geared towards it? Any advice?
I changed my mind to Hamlet a month before term 3 holidays, which was like maybe 2-3 months before exam time. That being said, I even had Stasiland in the back of my mind for a long time. Since you've written 1000000 close analysis as per another post you made on vn, I'm sure you're fine.
My other choice was Emma.

Go with the poetry! Its wonderful because there is practically a literary technique in every line and Blake uses such beautiful language to convey his social criticisms.
And definitely go with Hamlet. I wish my school was doing some Shakespeare :(
