i was just thinking, why arent modules marked differently..
obviously they try to make the modules of equal difficulty but im sure thats not always the case..
whats to say an 8/9 in one module is the same as an 8/9 in another? shouldnt each mark be compared to how everyone else went in that module, and then get a z score or similar derived and that used to get a final exam score.
especially since *most* students dont have a choice, time or money(tutors) to learn another module.
also is there anyway to see the avg mark of each module and the spread of results?

I've wondered that before for physics (3 detailed studies, school chooses one for us etc)
Since then, I gave up caring :P
