Title: Itute 2009 Exam?
Post by: Lols123 on June 01, 2011, 07:12:20 pm
Opinions?
Is it considered "hard" or have i been raging this past hour for no reason.

The Itute exams really test how well you know the course.

They are considered to be harder than the other trials, some questions are pretty unlikely to be on a VCAA paper (on this years Itute exam there was a simultaneous equations question), but they are definitely do-able with unit 3 physics knowledge.

Once you're done with the exam, really thoroughly check the points you struggled with. I thought the Itute 2009 exam was pretty reasonable.

I thought they were good ones to start with to test your knowledge out a bit, but a decent chunk of it is beyond unit 3 physics I think. Still much more worth doing than lisachem or stuff like that though.

I'll agree. Lisachem 2011 was a joke... not even worth doing :(

Has anyone come across any hard trial exam papers? Need to do a few over this coming weekend.

You may have already done those. They're actually practice sacs, but I reckon they're still worth spending some time doing.

Actually, I haven't come across the motion tests, but thanks! I book marked it.

Shame I didn't see this post earlier, could've done one in prep for tomorrow's motion SAC :P

Out of all the ones I've done I found those tests plus itute to be the hardest.

If I ever get another copy of today's motion SAC that I did, I'm sure you'll agree that it was SO much harder than those. Hahaha. Even if I did them, they were no use. Literally going to get like, 60%. Not even kidding. Ridiculous SAC, but that is expected from that teacher :P. The SACs he make seem to get harder ever year.

I heard that TSFX are pretty hard exams but haven't been able to get my hands on any.

The TSFX exams papers are free on their website: http://www.tsfx.com.au/vic/vcedgeonline/trialexampapers/index.htm
You just need to sign up for their VCE Edge mailing list (worth doing, it's free and some of the tips are pretty useful)

You can also find the TSFX exams in threads on here.

Vincezor's upload of trial exams has them:
