Thought I would post a thread about what subjects we wish our schools offered or had offered.
By that I mean most schools do not offer every VCE subject and that many people want to do a subject but they are unable to do so due to their school not offering it as an option.
For me if I had the option I would have done:
- Media
- Outdoor Education
What about everyone else?

I would love to do Latin. I reckon it would be so incredibly interesting to study :)
Also, if I were good, the 17+ scaling would make me a super happy person!

Yeah me too! I would love to do latin!

Food tech. Best subject in VCE.
-
Great thread!
Sociology.
-
National Politics is the only one that springs to mind, but I'm quite happy with the subjects my school offers. I've enjoyed everything I've studied.
-
-History
-Geography
-Sociology
-Software Development D:
-
VCE Dance.
-
I really wished I could have done Classics, or Latin. :)
-
English language.
-
Latin definitely! Would've loved to have a go at it. Also agreeing with Lex, Sociology seems so interesting - I wish it was available.
-
- Business Management
- English Language

If I was back in year 12:
I wished my school offered Classical Societies
-
Latin actually seems really popular. I think schools should actually have it and maybe a lot of people would do it.
-
International Studies
-
International Studies
My school has 2 nearly full classes for interstud.
They all love it. :)
-
last year I wish they offered economics, now I no longer care because I'm doing it at uni :)
-
Latin. And not for the scaling.

Latin. And not for the scaling.
Well, if all the schools started offering Latin and everyone took it, then it wouldn't scale as much because the cohort would be larger and less concentrated among the private schools likely to do well.
So yeah, I definitely wouldn't do Latin for the scaling.
-
Foundation maths :)
Foundation math is only offered at units 1&2 - there is no 3&4 equivalent. My school has it .. there are 2 full classes doing it.. says a lot about our academic atmosphere =\
I would've liked to learn German/Spanish
Economics (offered at another school, but too tedious to get there)
Environmental Science
-
International Studies
Not enough people in the year below me chose to do international politics this year and they don't have a class :( I was so disappoint in the year 11s, it is easily the most interesting course I have studied. You can get so lost in the material and end up learning such amazing stuff.

I don't want to do it for scaling though. I'm going to learn the language one day anyway.
-
German. We had a choice between Indo and Indo.
Auf Wiedersehen
Achtung Baby!
-
Environmental Science, looks interesting
-
Latin. I would have pushed myself to get a good score in that class if only my school offered it.
-
Interactive Digital Media, media, theatre studies, arabic.
-

Good joke.

Yeah, it does seem quite interesting, we didn't have a teacher qualified and the students interested either

I know my school had fashion but I wish I was offered(by my parents) to "LET" me do it but i was stuck with physics, chem, maths,religion,maths,unimaths,english....
I wish the school offered outdoor education (CAMPINGG!)
-
VET Electrotechnology.
School has a program(s) that are more advanced than it for year 8's... subject would be wicked, the school has a guy who could teach it in his sleep and the facilities. I don't think they'd like saying they teach a TAFE subject though... elitist wankers.

Classical Studies, Religion and Society or Sociology. Or, you know, Dutch. Because everyone should totally learn Dutch! And apparently our school used to have National Politics, but it got phased out. Pity.
