I've almost exhausted all the neaps, insights, stavs and lisachem, along with having done engage. Which company should I tackle next, in terms of relevance and usefulness? CSE, TSSM, TSFX? (I've heard nothing but bad things about them lol) I'm leaving the '08 and '09 vcaa just before the exams.

Maybe try STAV
-
Lisachem: Decent, with some good questions and some dodgy ones --> 6/10
NEAP: Odd, with some very good questions, some really dodgy ones --> 6/10
CSE: Who the hell wrote that paper? --> -2/10
STAV: Quite good, with the odd dodgy question --> 8/10
Insight: Excellent papers, with good worked solutions --> 9/10
VCAA: Well, that's the standard. --> 10/10

Ughh, don't bother with CSE >.< And if you have to pick one out of TSSM of TSFX, go TSSM. They're hard but still a tad more relevant than TSFX... Which has been proven to digress quite a bit. However imo, if you disregard the marking and time constraint set for the TSFX paper, it can be useful to help you master some weird questions; perhaps boosting your confidence somewhat if you can actually do them ^^

CSE is a complete joke.
I'd recommend do the tssm to timed conditions and do tsfx untimed to suss out any tough questions.

what is it about CSE that everyone hates?

i found 2010 TSSM FUN! anyone else think the same :P....what q about it tho, Question 4 a) i) is 6 electrons....the answer's 9 isn't it??
see attached - q 4

take away the 9 so its just
Cr207 (2-) + 14H+ -> 2Cr(3+) + 7 H2O
left hand side has a net charge of +12, right hand side has a net charge of +6
difference is 6, 6 electrons.
You counted wrong?
-
The Cr3+ , there are two of them, hence the overall charge is 6+ on the RHS..

TSSM>CSE>TSFX
