What does it mean when they say 'on a molecular level' and 'cellular level'?

And

Can someone explain how the surface area to volume ratio affects temperature?

im guessing cellular level is talking about the signal transduction ;s?

Molecular level = what specific receptor/ligand interactions or protein interactions are there?

Cellular level = what macroscopic changes occur across the whole cell?

In what context do you mean SA:V affects temperature?  Do you mean in terms of temperature loss?  If there is a greater surface area to volume ratio then more heat will be lost to the environment through radiation and convection and conduction and I've forgotten all the rest of those heat loss terms.
