Title: Is it OK to scrap some sections of the GAT exam?
Post by: werdna on June 15, 2011, 05:40:02 pm
Would it be OK if I scrapped the math and science questions in the GAT since I don't do any math/science subjects this year? Or would this be pushing it?  ???

BTW, by scrap I mean just select random answers, not leave them unanswered.

yeah of course, the gat basically means nothing unless you don't do your real vce exams. so dont worry, you'll be fine.

Is the GAT looked at as a whole when the so called "statistical moderation" takes place?? Or like if you're doing all humanities/english based subjects, they only look at those sections?? I thought everything counted =/

I think you should try every question, after all, it only counts if you do really well or if you miss the exam. All the information is provided anyway.

I did Lit last year. Not doing any form of English this year. Realised that i cannot for the life of me remember how to write a satisfying essay after 6 months of no practice. Not doing any English/humanities apart from Jap... so, should i just skip the writing tasks?

No form of english? I thought either Lit, Mainstream English or Language was compulsory?

You don't have to complete the english requirement in your final year. Although most do

Yeah, did Literature last year, and i'm probably the only person in my whole school not doing any form of English at all.

Did the MC first, had about 1.5 hours left, so i went ahead and tried doing the writing tasks for fun. I really really liked the wolf topic - one of the reasons why i decided to write something anyway.

Maybe i should have trolled instead..?

Agreed! I thought the information about wolves was actually relatively fascinating.
