TT, what edition is that one? It the 6th edition. I can't seem to find the 7th one anywhere :(

I've done a few things from 6th, mainly out of interest than course related. It's really well explained!

Perhaps even better than Essentials!

But nah, I love how it actually goes into so much depth!

Just torrented Calculus - Concepts and Contexts 4th (Stewart). Looks a bit simpler and more spesh related :D

I've had 6e for a long time, still yet to find 7e pdf anywhere. This book makes maths amazingly interesting, albeit difficult.

I've got the 7e pdf for the edition that's just called 'Calculus'. Found it on a torrent site, don't underestimate torrents that have only 1 seed, they still download in a reasonable time for smaller files.

I don't know if we're supposed to link to torrent websites here, but I'll pass on the link if you PM me.

Edit: Found the torrent for the Early Transcendentals 7e. I'm not going to bother downloading it though, so I don't know if it's any good. It's 300+ megabytes though.

Nothing major really: http://www.cengage.com/search/productOverview.do?Ntt=9780538497909&Ntk=P_Isbn13&N=+16+4294922413+4294967225+4294967217#mainTab_3

The big changes are:
"TOC change: For this edition, Stewart has combined the material that previously appeared in Chapters 1 and 2. This means that Calculus, 7e, and Calculus: Early Transcendentals, 7e, have the same number of chapters, allowing for a single Multivariable text, rather than two separate ET and LT versions. Chapters 1 and 2 have been combined – and some material has been moved to an appendix—to streamline the presentation of these early topics."

Basically the chapters have been reorganised a bit but beyond that the differences aren't substantial.

The other claims probably aren't as good as they sound e.g 25% extra exercises isn't really that much of a difference.

Don't bother, it is the same book with one LESS chapter, plus, that torrent looks pretty shifty. The 'Calculus 7th' one works perfectly though, and overall, is a more complete book :)

I have an actual hardcopy textbook of "Calculus: Concepts and Contexts" which I found in my brother's bookshelf - not really useful for Spesh/Methods, but it's got stuff in my unimaths course :) great book.
