Yes, I would also like more information regarding UNSW.
It's looking likely for me to move up there if I obtain a high enough ATAR and do Arts/Law.
Chrisjb, from what I know, UNSW's law course is very highly regarded, up there with UoM's JD and ANU's law degrees.
Its class sizes are relatively small too :)
The Uni itself is apparently really lively, small campus=lots of friends.
Close to Bondi Junction and the city as well.
UNSW LLB 2012? :)

Hey guys, I'm thinking of doing an CDFP Aero degree with ADFA which is part of the uni of new south wales. Now the reason the classes are so small is because they have one of the largest teacher to student ratios in the country. Other than that I only know defence related information about the uni.

How would UNSW compare with a uni such as Monash or other interstate uni's? (disregarding any location/relocation issues and factors)
-
I think it's up there in prestige, ATAR for Arts/Law at UNSW is around the 99.65 mark, one of the highest I've seen.. :/

i went and visited last year, it's a beautiful uni- i would have loved to go there.
-
Not quite sure about law, but a few of my friends there say Commerce is quite good.

UNSW uses bonus marks though. My friend who's at UNSW Comm/Law (who did obtain >99.65) said that the majority of students doing law at UNSW didn't obtain the required ATAR but had several bonus points.

Unfortunately they don't apply for med though :(

Also wondering how does UNSW compare to USyd in general and in science?
-
Much better in engineering and applied sciences, but USyd is much better for pure sciences.
Also, if you're applying to USyd, check out the scholarships - I think the application deadline is quickly approaching. They're announced before ATARs, so that's nice. You can only get the outstanding if you get 99.95 so that's announced after results, but if you're successful with the application and interview process, you can get a merit or entry scholarship before results.
