Title: ANU to Monash?
Post by: JL_91 on August 21, 2008, 09:12:17 pm
Because there is no way in hell I will get the crazy ENTER needed to get into Arts/Law at Monash, I'm very seriously considering applying for the same course at ANU since they only ask for a 95. Would it be possible for me to do just one semester at ANU, and then transfer back to Monash to complete my course? I would much prefer being at home than in Canberra!

I don't see why not? You'd probably prefer to stay at ANU once settled in, though.

I'm not sure if you would be able to transfer after a semester, but a year should be okay provided you do fairly well. I agree with the above two posters though, I think if you do go up to ANU you may find that you would like to stay.

Yeah I'd consider staying for a year too..and I wouldn't completely rule out the idea of staying for the duration of the course, since I've heard that it's the most prestigious law degree in Australia. But by experience I just happen to be a person who doesn't deal too well with living away from home for a long time =S And there's so much in my life that I'd be leaving behind if I move up for five whole years...but I'll see how things pan out! Thanks for the replies, I'm definitely applying =]
