Hey guys, i was just wondering, does anybody have any business management exams?
Im really stumped for this subject- and was just wondering if anybody has any exams from 2006 onwards?
-
On that note, when Vcaa exams ask for "2 reasons" or give "two examples" are they expecting more than two? Would you get penalised of you put more than two?
I ask this because in the 2007 Exam report, the "v.good student answers" had 3 or 4 examples when it asked for 2

I have a few business management exams - PM me your MSN email address so I can send them to you.

They're definitely not expecting more than two, and even if you do give more than two, from my understanding of the marking scheme it's pretty counter productive. I remember it being like say it was a question that required 2 reasons, and you gave three instead; 2 correct, 1 wrong. In this case, you'll still only get 1 mark out of the 2 because one of your reasons was wrong. Same goes for if you gave 20 examples and 2 were wrong, then you'll get zero. I'm pretty sure it works like this, otherwise it would be quite easy to bullshit your way through an exam...On another note, many of the 'very good student responses' are pretty horrible from what I've seen in terms of wordiness so don't rely on them too much. There's much better ways to phrase your answers.

Does anyone have the answers to the Compaq 2005 exam?? If you do could you please PM me or post here! Thank you.

Yes, only answer what has been asked of you, do not give more than you need to. The business management exam requires you to write a lot so you dont really have time to waste. Anyways good luck.

Any words of wisdom regarding revision, Odette?

Well remember to... define, explain, give an example(Except when asked to do something specifically) .... Oh and try to make sure you know a few real-life examples of certain concepts. Please try to make sure you have a good understanding of all the concepts, don't stress if you get stuck, try to think of what area of study it relates to or even an example, and I'm sure it'll trigger your memory. Remember to look at how many marks the question is worth, and try to work out what needs to be included from there. Oh and read the questions properly... I hope that helps a little.
