yeah, i don't really understand this whole karma business, can someone give the low downnn? ??? ??? ???

When you have 50 posts you get the option to give positive or negative karma to a post if you think it is good/bad

The whole system is spammy crap/popularity show off anyway, don't worry about it

the role it was sposed to play was:
if you saw a post you liked/was helpful/ was good you + karma'ed it adding to someones karma (and possibly credibility on the site?)

but now its just "lol" "hahahahah funni shit" sorta karma

I wonder if we should differentiate between 'lol, funni hahaha' karma and 'that was awesomely helpful, you have now saved my life' karma. Both are important, I guess, but in different ways.

  you didn't mention "i love u arts guy" karma and "that's a totally crappy reason for giving negative karma" karma ;)

Yeah... I give karma 4 stuff that makes me laugh, not jst smart ppl stuff.
I do find the karma-ing 4 karma-ing really weird and stupid tho.
