Title: Calculus made Easy
Post by: kurrymuncher on October 23, 2008, 06:47:14 pm: Hey guys, "Calculus made easy" is a program for the Ti 89 titanium calculator. A friend at school told me how this program pretty much does everything calculus based. I was using it at school today, and it surprised me how much easier it is than using solve in the home screen.
The program costs about 150 US dollars, but luckily, I found a free version on the internet.

Heres the link to the Texas instruments website. It explains all the features of the program.

Heres the version I downloaded.

Its an Application so drag and drop into the apps folder on the calc using the cd. Try it and comment, If you dont like the program just delete it using the cd program, it will not damage the calcultor in any way

Any idea of what i can do?

though having programmed a few things on the calc myself, I can't say this is too big a feat, considering most of the functions are doable with one-line system functions. [and the error handling appears to be a little inconsistent]
BUT, its a good time-saver, and good for lazy people like me.

Sorry xox.happy1.xox , if thats what you thought I meant.

to get the app on your calculator:

Put the ti 89 cd that comes in the box into your computer.
register the software with your cd and a popup might come at the top of the screen from windows, install it from that popup up too.

plug in the calculator into the computer and open up the ti 89 program and go to the caculator navigator. Click on the applications folder and just drag the "calculus app" into the folder.

Sorry if this doesnt make sense, but its what i can remember from the top of my head.

I deleted Cabri Geometry and my Planner ~400000 bytes I think but it still won't work! It still says memory when I open it, despite the program only taking 87449 bytes. And when it opens, all of the tools in the program don't work, it says "program not found" :/

btw is this working for anyone else?

I'd recommend backing it up and reset. [master reset the memory]
