hi, how many marks can you lose in exam 1 and exam 2 to achieve a study score of 40+, given that your first ranked in your cohort? Also if possible same question but for a study score of 45+.
Cheers

I remember Coblin saying that he lost 6 marks over both exams and achieved a study score of 45 raw.
Not sure about 40 though-maybe 11-12 marks lost over both.
-
6 marks over both exams for 45? not a great margin for error is it. though i guess it works out once it gets scaled up.
-
remember exam 2 is a killler, ppl lose most of their marks here.
-
40 raw or scaled?
I stuffed up the 2nd exam completely (C+ ftw ...that was so bad) and still got above 40 when scaled.

what did you get in SACs and exam 1 and what raw score did you get out of curiosity?
-
does any one else have past experiences were they've lost a particular amount of marks and still got a 40?
-
Oh wow I can lose 11-12 marks? That's great for me. I'm looking for 40 raw in spec. So far my sacs haven't been amazing (I can't remember tbh, but I know the last few were A+). I've done about 32 practice exams and I get about 90% on exam 1 and about 75-85% on exam 1. It always ends up being exam 2 tho where I lose the marks.
Same question as first post but with methods?

Same question as first post but with methods?
Methods is a lot more competitive, so i would assume that you could lose even less marks on the exams...but thats just an assumption :)

Wasn't that Methods exam last year a killer? XD
I laughed when all the Yr 12s told me bout it, coz I'd had a much easier ride of it in '06.
But yes, Methods is less bout testing ur knowledge, and more bout testing ur attention 2 the little things that can cost u marks and lower ur score.
Further is even more extreme than that, as I understand it.

Further is so boring and yes silly mistakes cost me dearly last year
