i asked my teacher about whether you could get 1/2 marks -for something like if it's worth 4 marks and you get 3.5 marks? He said it was possible but can someone confirm for me? coz when i look at examiners reports, you either get one mark or no marks so...?? :idiot2:

Don't think its possible from a single examiner. Only cases where you get half marks are when your exam gets remarked and one examiner gives you the mark, the other doesn't, and by averaging you get a half mark.

They don't give out half marks.
If a question is out of 2 and there are 4*0.5 things they need, if you get 3 you get 1.5 which then gets rounded down to 1.
