need some reassurance:
GA1:
single exam subjects - unit 3 SACs
two exam subjects - SACs (overall)
GA2:
single exam subjects - unit 4 SACs
two exam subjects - exam 1
LOTE - oral
GA3:
single exam subjects - exam
two exam subjects - exam 2
LOTE - exam
is that right?
[how does practical subjects such as VisComm which do SATs work in this? someone shed some light please?]
-
Nah not necessarily right. Chemistry (and I assume all subjects with a mid-year) go like this:
GA1: Exam 1
GA2: Overall SACs
GA3: Exam 2
-
I'm pretty sure that for two exam subjects (biology at least) GA1 is the exam 1, GA2 is SACs, GA3 is exam 2
-
It's the order of assessment.
So for English (and others with one exam)
GA1: SACs unit 3
GA2: SACs unit 4
GA3: Final exam
For Chem (and others with a midyear)
GA1: Mid-year exam
GA2: Overall SACs
GA3: End-of-year exam
For Methods (and others with 2 end-of-year exams)
GA1: Overall SACs
GA2: Exam 1
GA3: Exam 2
For French (and other LOTES)
GA1: Overall SACs
GA2: The Oral
GA3: The Written Exam
I'm not sure what it is for music or other subjects that require a performance specifically, but it always goes first assessment, second assessment, third assessment, and SACs are always before any end-of-year exams.
-
i thought that the oral and written exam is awarded a single grade only?!?
-
VET subjects, such as IT, Business and Multimedia have unit 3/4 sac scores included in GA1, and the exam is GA2.
-
for stuff that u need folios like art its
GA1 = sacs
GA2 = Folio
GA3 = Exam
i think its the same for vcd.. but they have 2 folios so not to sure
-
I'm not sure what it is for music
Music Performance (I got this from my exam sheet for Solo, but I assume it's the same for Group)
GA1: SACs Unit 3 and 4
GA2: Performance Exam
GA3: Aural and Written Exam
i.e. order of assessment.
-
For LOTEs it is
GA1: Unit 3 SACs
GA2: Unit 4 SACs
GA3: Oral and Written Exam
